I was going to do the same, but he went and hid under all the snow we got the other day.

Hmmm all the above supposedly "Taste like chicken" (apart from the frag grenade of course).

Chicken these days doesn't taste like I remember it either.

Is something going on?

Or is it me?

That's what y'all get for listening to a Yankee groundhog.
Gen. Beauregard Lee got it right.

Gator? tastes like rattlesnake.

There's a reason groundhog is one of my favorite game/varmint critters.

Ever meet a farmers Widow who's husband died in a tractor accident when it flipped on a groundhog den? I have.

.223 works fine, but I have a co-worker who favors a .50-70 Sharps. Pink mist.

Oh, and you all have it wrong. Spring has been Sequestered. By Executive order.

Quite well actually, unfortunately dogs can't.
Zoey triumphed before permanent brain damage set in. - She fell about 15" about 20 times before she humped up the tree far enough to get him.
(Much to the amusement/horror of the old ladies @ wife's garden party.)

I will admit that before I opened this ... I thought it was about a different bast@rd all together

Ground Hog is bad
Quill pig is worse (porcuipine - though not a prognasticator of winter climes or spring times)

Spotted owl is best cooked up like Cornish game hen, with extra sage.

Condor, on the other hand is awful.

A SEAL buddy tells me Capybara is even worse than groundhog. I believe him, and Groundhog is terrible, even fillets cooked in rice. ( my suggestion for Squirrel ) With enough nuoc mam sauce you can't taste anything, Groundhog is still bad.

I went through a phase when much younger, "eat what you shoot" idealism. Groundhog cured me.

I've been to Punxsutawney, great little town, had breakfast in the restaurant where Bill Murray saves the mayor in the Movie, ( one of the great movies of all time ) and seen Phil.

Damn him.
