Well it has come down to having to ask for help for me to continue my love of shooting any AMA racing. I hope you have enjoyed my photos in the past. So here goes. Anyone that would like to help me cover my trip to Daytona can make a donation to my PayPal account at mjrphoto@optonline.net. Any donation of $20 or more will get a limited edition 8x12 print of Geoff May at Mid-Ohio on the 1190 RS's first race. This photo was used by EBR to promote the 1190 at the 2012 IMS shows

I can go... well... could have... can't afford it... should not spend any money... can't afford to go...want to ... dam it... If I had about a week notice, I probably could have rode down too... I map it out every year... this is the closest I had gotten. I am unemployed so I have time... just not enough money?!?!?!!??!

First I would like to thank all that helped me out on this trip. It is much appreciated. Still on Florida. Finally got 8 hours sleep after only having 5 hours of sleep since Thursday morning. I have the prints ready and hope to have them shipped by the end of the week. All that donated will be getting an email with a link to some photos from the weekend for your personal viewing. Please keep the link to yourself. I will no longer be posting race photos for the general public to see. I wish it did not have to be that way but when your work is not respected and stolen it is the way it has to be. Each race I am able to make will have a gallery made and viewable to those that donated to the race fund. The gallery will be password protected and will be available for viewing for one month after posting. If I am able to make any other races I will be starting a post for some help to get there. It will be the same as this one. You will receive a 8x12 from the Daytona race of the racer of your choice if I have one.
Now the 22 hour drive home.

I have a dream... of riding to every race... haha... but that stops when I mapped out everything. especially on the west side from Utah to Cali.,... tooo far/long for me to be sitting on my bike. One hand I would want to site-see and the other would wanna slab asap. I dred riding that long road that never ends. Maybe if I was in better shape and younger... I am just being a wus...

I had the first 5 races mapped out... missed #1 and do have time for the rest..(on unemployment but money is super tight) all can be traveled in a day or so and if I can figure out a budget for each race ahead of time, the expense would be very close for each (except for gas/tolls). I have tools and things needed for short distance rides, just need to purchase the other essentials which I don't have yet (camping gear) And a sufficient backup plan in case something happens on the way. (major bike repair) Oh and the actual money for the trip/food and tickets to the race.

kinda reminds me of when I quit smoking... it took years of trying and thinking about it and trying again and again until I finally did it.
