I apologize. My yahoo was hacked through Verizon wireless. Anyone who got a "hot copy" email from me...please delete it unopened. It hijacked my address book and apparently emailed anyone I've ever emailed. Sorry!! | ||

You aren't the only one, I got a few of them today. Change your password, scan your computer for malware/viruses, then change your password again. | ||

Yahoo says it was through VZW, someone logged into my acct from hungary. I'll check my computers when I get home but pretty sure the droid is the culprit. Is there a virus scan for a droid?? Shit...I cant even find a power button on the damned thing!! | ||

How does yahoo say it is from Verizon? They could of gotten it from anything but usually the culprit is on the PC. On your phone, some shady program you installed could be keylogging. There are some antivirus type apps for Android, but I've personally never tried them. | ||

It said the "location information was based on information from your wireless carrier". I haven't done any app work on the droid yet...but now that I think about it I'm gonna change my online banking password when I get home!!!! | ||

Android platforms, due to fragmented update support from the handset makers and weak oversite of their app store, have... ummm... security challenges. Not to say yahoo doesn't have it's share of challenges either... (Message edited by reepicheep on March 13, 2013) | ||

I'm sure I will, someday, but I've been waiting for the security issues to get.....better. fwiw, the idea that your phone is also your wallet dates from the writing of Mack Reynolds and his disptopian science fiction stories from the '60's. Reynolds wrote some excellent stuff, and was one of the few writers to stake out economic science fiction. Since SF is the "literature of ideas" it sometimes serves as a warning of political movement, as in "1984" "Animal Farm" "Friday", and others. Lots of Soviet SF was actually political, as it was much safer to criticize aspects of Soviet rule by transplanting it to distant alien cultures, than to set the story in contemporary Kiev. | ||
