Great shots as always.

I've logged many miles chasing that RK (and a few being chased by it), and it's certainly a very competent bike. Of course, the rider has a lot to do with that as well. I know it's gone places that many guys wouldn't even take their Buells.

HDs aren't really my cup-o-tea right now, but given the opportunity, I'd love to run one across the country and have one to just cruise on. It's certainly a UAM (Universal American Motorcycle, patent pending by Jerry) that can do just about everything relatively well.

Yeah, a little, but I was mostly being neighborly. I've e-mailed back and forth with Donna and Kenny Behm (Mr. and Mrs. Blindkenny.com) several times over the years, and was waving "bye" for the day. They actually comp'ed me the two pix above, which I thought was pretty cool.

When they e-mailed the pix Donna wrote, in part,

quote:

"How's the kickstand BTW? I figure it's pretty well a spike now after dragging it Saturday and Sunday! We caught sparks in some of the shots. The outtakes Kenny and I really liked are attached. They're killer shots but we're in both :-(. Sorry.

I replied, in part,

quote:

We had ridden all day Sunday, ended up going over Roan Mountain into
Tennessee, then 226 and 80 back to the Parkway and back to Little
Switzerland. I asked Denise if she wanted to make a couple of photo
passes on the Diamondback, but she was pretty whupped so I dropped her
off at the Switzerland Cafe, where she did some shopping and popped
the top on the first of several fine microbrews, and I came down solo.

That last shot, where I'm waving bye to Kenny, I was real comfortable
with my line on that pass, the bike was planted good, and by that
point in the corner I had a clear line of sight up the hill and knew I
had no bogies to contend with, so out came the wave. Lotsa fun. :-)

See? Just being neighborly. : )

BTW, I'm really not supposed to talk about this, but several years ago, when a local BadWeb'er was in the hospital and needed some help with bills, Donna and Kenny stepped up and made a monetary contribution, not ever even having met this person. Stand-up folks, they are.

Damn nice shots Jerry. You are a rock start in the two pictures above (the Blind Kenny shots).

Really enjoyed the photo's!! Been to a lot of the same places. I had an FLHS, Electra Glide Sport, the precurser to the Road King. I put 145,000 miles on it then sold it to a friend. Now it's sat for 5 years in his garage!! I've tried to buy it back but he won't let it go. Sad to see it rot. I've got 92,000 on my Road Glide and I do love it. It will flat out eat miles and still put a grin on your face in the twisties! Your just doing it at a slightly slower pace then the Uly!
