http://www.thecycleguys.com/go-cruise-throttle-ass ist-1/ Anyone here tried one of these? I've heard lots of good things about the Cycle Guys products in the past, but not from anyone about this I don't like reading reviews from random sites, I trust the BadWebbers (for the most part), so that's why Im asking here Used it? Likes? Dislikes? |

I have one & have been using it for months w/no issues.. it takes up a little space on the grip, but not really noticeable after awhile. Their very effective and user friendly.. money well spent! |

I picked up one last year from AeroStich. Works well, no complaints. |

does it work well on highway without needing to adjust a lot? Yes, actually amazingly well.. to accelerate. simply roll-on a bit while exerting light pressure with your index finger to set.. to decel or deactivate, simply roll off lightly or completely.. A couple of days touring or mile-munching with one, you will wonder how you ever did without.. they free up your right hand and "mental bandwidth" to enjoy the ride even more!

I like my Aerostitch one, but it does take some "pre-loading" and fiddling to hold at the speed I want. |

I've read that these break often. Someone makes a screw-adjustable one out of aluminum that's much more stout and has some other neat features. I think it's called the Omni cruise. I have no direct experience with either. |

I don't have my latest Motorcycle Consumer News in front of me, but IIRC that issue or one or two before it reviewed a similar gadget... |

Omni-cruise.. wow, fifty bucks! yeah, I hadn't seen that one. It seems a bit over-built for such a basic purpose.. I haven't heard of any go-cruise's breaking, but I suppose it could possibly lose some tension over time.. however, I have envisioned slipping an extra throttle tube band over the long axis to regain it back.. when/if |

If you go on over to ADV rider and dig around you can find a code to get that Omni cruise for like $30. I've read all over the place of go-cruises breaking. The Omni was built specifically in response to that. |

I've used the Go-Cruise on one long trip. Did not have any trouble with it. I liked it just fine. Clever and easily reversible. Would recommend. YMMV |
