MacBuell, check out this thread from Utah Gun Exchange: http://utahgunexchange.com/
and this particular search:

http://utahgunexchange.com/?s=glock+17+magazines&s a=search&scat=0

It would probably have to include shipping but I have seen many Glock mags available here including Glock 17 and even some 33 rounders but prices are premium. Enjoy a great gun website. Bob

Interesting article in this months Guns & Ammo on the .300 Blackout. Discussed is the difficulty of getting reliable function, especially in short barrel versions. Naturally the model they test is nigh perfect.

I can see the difficulty of getting a gas operated machine functioning well with the varied power levels the .300 Blackout is capable of. From subsonic loads with fast burning pistol powder, to decent high power rifle territory. Throw in the gas muffling nature of a suppressor, and you need an adjustable gas system.

That said, the G&A crew concluded the suppressed, SPR 11 inch AR in .300 Blackout the ideal home defense weapon. No deafening noise, no blinding fire balls, excellent precision and power level..

And...... Let me condemn this commercial as irresponsible and dangerous. It depicts fun.

I'm kinda thinking of going AR pistol.

Not these in particular, but building something similar.

It'd be a fun gun for me, and something small and light enough for the kid to shoot without the hassle of going SBR.

I've shot the Sig 556 pistol and love it. The cool part of the Sis is that you don't need a buffer tube.

Technically, only AR based pistols can have a receiver extension as it is a necessary functional part.

If I build one it'll be a while, anyway. It can definitely wait until the current madness ends.

Wal*Nards....one box of 22-250,the only thing else in the display shelf was a three box limit sign.
Where is all that ammo going? In gun safes! local farm store had a front entry with more than a dozen safes in it a month ago. One safe left today! They always had wide selection of them....wow!
(and zero center fire ammo)

Went to a gun show yesterday, the first one I have gone to in probably 10 years. Nothing has changed but the prices. I went to buy reloading components but there were NONE!
Lots of individuals walking around with guns trying to cash in on the panic. I bought a Magpul for $20 and 4 Thermolds for $10 each. I bought them for my sons boss. I gave him a call to let him know of his luck and he sent my son from work with $1000 to buy ammo and more mags! The panic continues! LOL

I did by pink furniture for the AR. I figure it would make it less dangerous...maybe I could give it to the wife for Valentines Day

Already have my "black" carbine, just not an AR or AK. I did go look at one of those Mossberg bolts though. One followed me home.

The prices on certain things is incredible. Like $1k for a book value $500 Ruger Mini-14.

Unfortunately, selling firearms via non-FFL online (across state lines) is reportedly illegal. Please edit or remove your post accordingly.

Thanks.

Just make sure you send it to the buyer's FFL of choice and it's not a problem selling across state lines. I'll leave it to the moderators to set the policy on offering it for sale on BW.

Loki, did you buy the Mossberg MVP? If so, how do you like it?

Yes, I did pick up a MVP(24" .223) Varmint. Beautiful gun in the flesh. Only flaw in this one, the rear scope base is tweaked. The ring sits skewed on it. Not the ring as it is good in the forward position. Will contact Mossy about it though. The two piece bases are standard weaver items. I hear a Rem 700SA one piece will fit. Although EGW has a one piece picatinny for it now.

Waiting to change out the barrel before going to the range with it. I have a threaded one on its way.

This being my first bolt gun and all. Hopefully to the range this coming weekend. Everything I have read says its a pretty decent rifle.

I may very well abandon my long range precision bolt gun project and put all proceeds into something like this:

http://www.thedailysheeple.com/guns-and-ammo-produ ction-maxed-out-this-is-a-society-preparing-for-wa r-2_022013

Some interesting stats...

quote:

Smith & Wesson-is running at Full capacity making 300+ guns/day-mainly M&P pistols. They are unable to produce any more guns to help with the shortages.

Springfield Armory: Only company who can meet demand but are running 30-45 days behind.

AMMO: Every caliber is now Allocated! We are looking at a nation wide shortage of all calibers over the next 9 months. All plants are producing as much ammo as possible w/ of 1 BILLION rounds produced weekly. Most is military followed by L.E. and civilians are third in line.

Also some perspective that I have a hard time disagreeing with...

quote:

This isn’t a society stocking up on certain guns because they fear they may be banned. This is a society preparing for war.

On the upside, I doesn't look to me like the people are likely to simply turn in their guns when it's requested of them.

That's not entirely true. We got a truckload of M&P-15 and 15-22 rifles at work. We put them on sale and they sold in three days.

Glock 9mm pistols are selling like there's no tomorrow. A lot of Ruger and S&W 5-shot revolvers, pocket sized .380's and small 9mm's are selling like crazy.

People act shocked that we're running out of product and ammunition. I wonder if these people have been hiding under a rock for the past couple months.

Sig has been able to deliver a good quantity of rifles as well. Everything else has been trickling in or is perpetually allocated.

I think the statement about being unable to make any more meant they can't increase production any further, not that production has stopped. I'm sure all gun manufactures are running at capacity unless they are dependent on suppliers that can't provide materials or parts.

It's a little unusual in that I've never seen so many S&W rifles come in at one time.

I'm hoping to see some stripped lowers and complete uppers soon
