The MSM focuses on Marco Rubio taking a drink of water during the SOTU Republican rebuttal. MSNBC has reported it 153 times since Tuesday night and CNN 30 times.

It would be nice if they could garner the same attention for Benghazi.

You got to love the Obama Audio Visual department.

Twits and the fools that support them.

They're simply following the Rules. If you read and understand their play book, their actions become a bit less bewildering. Predictable, actually.

this thread is hilarious
I love these sorts of situations, where they focus on the simplest, and stupidest, of things.

Nah, they aren't biased...

The chatter is that Rubio's sip of water is a career ending event. This is politics and is to be expected. However, this is not acceptable from the media whose mission statement and ethical duty is to attempt to be unbiased.

Further dumbing down of America, brought to you by the Press, who again filters to us what is important.

This is nothing more than the long line of Conservatives that the Obama AV Department is so adept at demonizing in an attempt to deny them power. I started making a list when I found this article that corroborates what we all know to be true.

http://spectator.org/archives/2011/12/06/the-demon izing-of-conservative/

As time went on, and the decades unraveled, so too did a particularly distinct pattern. As one conservative after another ascended to some sort of public prominence — so too was their arrival greeted somewhere along the line with precisely the sort of acrimonious treatment that greeted the anti-Communist Nixon, the ex-Communist Chambers and the young conservative writer Buckley. Each was targeted with what is now called “the politics of personal destruction.”

Here’s a list of those targets, roughly in historical order and by no means definitive, beginning with original targets Nixon, Chamberlain and Buckley.

Richard Nixon
Whittaker Chambers
William F. Buckley Jr.
Joseph McCarthy
Barry Goldwater
Spiro Agnew
Clement Haynesworth (a failed Nixon Supreme Court nominee)
Ronald Reagan
Edwin Meese III
Robert Bork
Douglas Ginsburg (Bork’s replacement as a Reagan Supreme Court nominee —and also failed)
Oliver North
Newt Gingrich
Dan Quayle
Rush Limbaugh
Sean Hannity
Mark Levin
Ann Coulter
Roger Ailes
Rupert Murdoch
Samuel Alito
Lou Dobbs
Bill O’Reilly
Glenn Beck
Miguel Estrada (a star conservative lawyer, a Latino, blocked as a Bush appeals court nominee)
Alberto Gonzales
George W. Bush
Dick Cheney
Donald Rumsfeld
Sarah Palin
Michele Bachmann
Christine O’Donnell
Sharron Angle
Joe Miller
Karl Rove
Scooter Libby
Donald Trump
Herman Cain"

And I might add:

Mitt Romney and Clarence Thomas

I didn't watch the potus but I got grossed out by the cotton mouth of Rubio, he was hard to watch, and then there was the goofy jerky reachover watergrab ... while looking at the camera... it was freaking creepy!! (and easily mockable SNL will have a skit 4 sure) It doesn't make no difference how many times I see the news broadcast it.., he was funny/creepy looking when he did it, and it is funny/stupid that the news keep talking about it.

If he just would have said,"pardon me" and then grab a Colt 45, (malt liquor, not the firearm!) Slammed the can and then belched the national anthem the media would have considered that normal!

Rubio might have scored a massive bong load before the camera started rolling and developed some mongo cotton mouth.

If true, then he has my vote.

The big question for liberal media, is how many days can they drag out this story, rather than something like the negligence of Benghazi, or some such "fluff" piece?

I think (not sure) the answer is not in the daily news we see on TV/cable... but with the White House Press Corps. I think they should be pressing the tough questions over and over until they get an direct answer. Seems like the right questions are not being asked. BUT..the real question is, why he chose Poland Springs over Aquafina.....

I agree 100%. To a point.

The problem right now is we have one scandal/outrage/horrible decision/erosion of liberty/pick your poison, that it's virtually impossible to spend the time on any given subject, beating the dead horse, where the administration mouth piece is going to give any answers. The days of reporters actually digging for answers seems to be past. They have become reliant on the ministry of truth to provide them with appropriate talking points.

"FOX" news, people.. fox news!.. their slogan, the spin stops here! stopped viewing any other network months ago.. I got sick of CNN(communist news network)and their outright lies. I thought Marco's quick drink of water was endearing and personable.. shows he's real people, and people ARE talking.. I believe it was choreographed, as it will soon be forgotten, but.. he just gained a foothold in peoples psyche' by a simple, pure, act.. to hell with what the reprehensible, pandering, stool pigeon MSM and oligarchy says.

Anyone paying attention to Dr. Ben Carson lately? his national prayer breakfast speech with BO and Biden(smirking) at arms reach just went viral.. catch the interview(s) on FOX.. good stuff people, good stuff!
