After weeks of crap weather & no riding, I spent the morning clearing the snow on the ramp down the side of the house.

This afternoon was dry & sunny so I went out riding, yippee.

Got home, lit the wood burner, then went & hosed the salt off the M2, & the big fat flakes started coming down as I pushed it into the garage.

Perfect timing.

But I feel GOOOOOOOOD!!!!

Fantastic. They say it's a beautiful day outside, but I wouldn't know since I'm in my bunker at work.

I DID IT AGAIN!

Beautiful weather this weekend, 'kin cold but clear & dry.

Went out riding yesterday, had to stay down on the plains as the tops are still icy on the roads in places.
Met up by chance with another couple of nutters, one of whom gave me a great tip.
Latex surgical gloves under your riding gloves, he gave me a spare pair to try & it works.

Started heading back late afternoon before the light went but couldn't see across the valley to home, not a good sign, snow started about 10 miles out so I gave it the beans & got in just as it was starting to settle & stick, phew.

Woke up this morning with over a foot of fresh snow & it's still falling, no school buses today & the plow didn't come round til 1100 usually it's about 0530, so wifey couldn't get the car out to go to work either, we're all having a lazy day at home.

Time to go throw another log on.

yesterday hit a high of 53, but it was sunny and I thought 'what the hell'

then it rained and temps dropped quickly.
I tell ya, 39 and wet is cold.
But through all of that, I don't regret riding yesterday. A bad weather day on the bike is still better than a good weather day in a car.

I bet you're just in a t-shirt & mesh jacket, as it's summertime there.

Snow and salted roads over the weekend, now it's raining. No riding here.
