I don't like it
and I don't understand replacing the passenger footpegs and adding hand rails there.

The handrails are for the dwarfs to hold your bike up for you, so you don't wear out the kickstand.

I'd have thought an educated fella like you would have understood that right off the bat.

Just like putting MX bars on, I mean I'd have never dared to do such a radical thing.

Style is personal.... but I had to laugh that they make a big deal of replacing the license plate/turn signal bracket.

That's one of the first body mods a lot of riders do, ( not just on Buells ) and making a big deal out of making the bike illegal just is funny. ( the stock plate/light mount is as bulky as it is because the law often requires specific spacing and positioning of those items. If the factory was allowed to make a clean one piece tail, they would. )

I can see running motocross bars, that's a comfort mod, but the new bodywork up front? eh. At least you won't get the "you have a headlight out" bit as often.

I happened to be the guy who sold Rex Marsee that 1125R- great guy to know, I'm blessed to count him as a friend.

He and Erik go WAY back- I was very interested to see what he came up with. FWIW, that bike is on display in his living room over in Tellico Village- me and my GF got an invite for a cookout last fall, along with a nice assortment of other local MC folks. He and his wife Kay are first class.

He had another bike displayed in his foyer, a hand-built, mostly aluminum racer, IIRC with a Honda 2smoke motor- looked REAL fast and REAL light.

My buds at Smoky Mountain HD got to hear it run, said it sounded righteous with that exhaust.

Fun times!

Oh and BTW, he still directs his eponymous MC gear and outfitter biz- I use his cold weather gloves about this time of year. His company generally makes a wide variety of good products, based out of Madisonville TN. However, as goes most of the world, the stuff is made in China. It's still quality though.

1125Rs don't have that 'problem'

Im not questioning the quality of his work, im just not into the front end. And I don't understand the point of handgrips installed. (For who?)
