1. don't want the job. They talk about the fame & fortune but never the desk. The thing Obama and I can agree on is how crappy Congress is. I can understand the desire to go dictator, and he's doing his best. My complaint is I think he's over the line, or going there with a purpose. Could be wrong.
2. I'd go for Sec Def. Lot to fix that could be done, a job with real challenges. No one expects HIM to be a godlike figure. I know enough about military hardware and even more important know what I don't know about other subjects to not try and run the Pentagon like McNamara. I don't assume that knowing ( in McNamara's case ) how to run a car company makes me an expert on fighter bomber requirements. Or vice versa.
3. Not charismatic enough. Too sarcastic to be the godlike figure Obama plays on tv.
4. I'm an encyclopedic synthesist, not a people manager. Really poor choice for President. I could do King for a month, tops, and turn the country back over to it's real owners, but President? bad choice.
Answer your question?
Hey, we live in crazy times. If Romney had won, I'd still be bitching about Barry, but I'd also be bitching about Mitt and how wrong he is. ( you KNOW he'd have said something stupid by now )
Dr. Dee Mangin, Data Based Medicine’s Chief Medical Officer and a professor and Director of Research in the Department of Public Health and General Practice at the University of Otago in New Zealand, says, “Violence has not traditionally been seen as a medical problem, but the range of drugs now linked to violence has grown, including drugs used in smoking cessation, dermatology, asthma, weight loss, insomnia, and behavior.”
Are you using or have you ever used a prescription drug?
Sure, I'm a know it all. You're in an internet discussion. Who isn't?
Some stuff, I know pretty good. History buff, tech geek, metal worker. Beat out Armor on an anvil, precision machining, Process control.
Now fashion? Not a clue. I think American Gangsta baggy pants are silly. to be fair, I wore Bellbottoms.
I've never driven a Holden but I've always wanted Mad Max's Pursuit Special.
There's another thread on metal detectors. I know how they work, ( but I'd have to look up the field equations, you don't use it, you lose it ) But not enough to explain them without getting some detail wrong. I certainly aren't an enthusiast ( metal detector geek ) so have no idea what the best brand & model is. But I looked for and found a geek site for them, and posted it.
That's how you fake being a know it all.
You have a good argument for your point of view, I'll consider it. For example, I've recently changed my mind on the meanings of agnostic, because Penn Jillette's explanation makes more sense than the one I had.
What's your opinion on our viciously complained about Prez?
A president has any and almost all information recorded availible to him in minutes. Obama's problem isn't lack of information its integrity and his determination to end capitolism and institute a mixture of social justice, sharia and communism as well as a huge amount of racism on this country.
We have to get away from putting motives in others mouths. ( not that I'm innocent of calling Barry a ... hell, you name it. )
It is really hard to tell why a person makes certain calls. A crappy choice in some economic or foreign policy decision could be from ideology or incompetence. Barry's world view is vastly different than yours.
He could do something we don't like because of:
World view. He sees the State as the means to utopia.
Ideology. Anti-colonialist neo marxism & liberation theology? Not an honest bone in all those bodies.
Evil. uses the progressive tendency toward totalitarian strong men.
Incompetence. Basic math and our lack of budget. The political charm of a rabid wolverine when it comes to bipartisan issues. Laziness, vacations, fiscal cliff?
Or. Some combination. You almost can't tell from the results.
I assume the reason that the security in Bengazi was so light was a combination of stupid decisions to cut budgets in a manner that preserves the bureaucracy and not it's purpose. AND the desire to prove the President right, like the Fast & Furious operation.
BTW. Kenm123t. I tend to agree with your analysis.
The reason there is no budget: He WANTS the collapse of the system. The horrible and detrimental plummet to the end of capitalism. He is a revisionist - because he believes that this transition will happen without violence. Lenin and Stalin proved that the transition cannot, will not transition without a RE-volution. That 'transformative' change he keeps blabbering about - make no mistake, it is at the cost of you, never him, nor his.
The three percent that started the initial American Revolution against the British- maybe all that we have keeping this next one from coming. And if they can seize, arrest, round up, isolate, exile, imprison, disappear, eliminate, kill, exterminate, subjugate those - the rest will fall like the Sheep they are.
It is how it is done. fleece from the crowd the successful, the independent - villianize - criminalize them; the next step is easy. It is what the Hammer and Sickle symbolize to every dissident. That which cannot be pounded into submission - will be cut and severed; exterminated. Make no mistake - at present activity and speed - it comes.
Let's not forget the decision by the DOL to pay for Lockheed's upcoming lawsuits when they were ordered to break the law and not tell their employees they were getting laid off because of the Fiscal cliff and the Admin's plans.
Shiny happy people..... 2020. So happy that we will teach you to suck eggs we will. This is what the MSW's are ginning up under the PPACA - for your safety ; your recreation: duration, speed, choice, and frequency will be regulated - enjoy

what do you think about how the Xbox Kinect and whatever the PS3 equivalent camera system is called... could easily be usurped and used against us.
All subjects will appear in front of their televisions for daily calisthenics 1 hour before reporting to their assigned labor position. All subjects not able to perform these exercises to government standards will have their daily ration reduced accordingly.
the IRS has been working on a 'fat tax' for the last two years - with the understanding that the wealthy are the Fattest and are over consuming food.... I cannot imagine their surprise when they find out the largest ratio of fat is at the other end of the entitlement line

As the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform was voting Holder into contempt of Congress for his refusal to cooperate with congressional investigators by failing to turn over tens of thousands of pages of Fast and Furious documents, Obama asserted the executive privilege over them. The full House of Representatives soon after voted on a bipartisan basis to hold Holder in contempt.
There were two parts of the contempt resolution. Holder was, and still is, in both civil and criminal contempt of Congress. The criminal resolution was forwarded to the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Ronald Machen – who works for Holder – for prosecution. Despite being technically required by law to bring forth criminal charges against Holder, under orders from Holder’s Department of Justice Machen chose to ignore the resolution.
America is certainly not the country I grew up in. It is however - under this guy - incredibly more and more like Leninist Soviet Russia; and more so daily.
Rapper Lupe Fiasco was thrown offstage and escorted off the premises of a Washington, D.C. concert hall during a pre-inauguration concert Sunday night, after going on an anti-war, anti-Obama rant, according to concertgoers.
....................
StartUp Rock On, the concert’s organizers, claimed shortly after 2:00 a.m. Monday that Lupe “left the stage earlier than we had planned. But Lupe Fiasco was not ‘kicked off stage’ for an ‘anti-Obama rant.’”
“We are staunch supporters of free speech, and free political speech,” the organizers said. “This was not about his opinions. Instead, after a bizarrely repetitive, jarring performance that left the crowd vocally dissatisfied, organizers decided to move on to the next act.”
I'd never heard the phrase "vocally dissatisfied" before. I guess it means "we disagreed with him".
To be honest, rap isn't usually my cup of tea, and ANY genre's 30 minute song had better be at least as good as Kansas's "Song For America" or feature live strippers. ( I'm male. )
I can enjoy some progressive rock 8 minute plus stuff, and even techno drone as background music on a long trip, but 30 minutes??? Honestly after 15 I'm going to the concession stand.
The discs in my cars player are deliberate discordant mixes with everything from classical ( Beatles, Steppenwolf ) to modern ( DragonForce, Pink ) with cartoon/tv themes and filk thrown in to keep from boredom on the road. ( nothing like the transition from orchestral rock to "Gilligan's Island" theme song to get a car full of bored people singing aloud laughing at hour 5 of a cross country.... true, slightly insane singing and laughing, but we've been on the road..... )
So I suppose we can assume if the rapper was singing Obama's praises they would have cut him off and kicked him out too..... right?
