What are the best aftermarket replacement brake pads for the front caliper of a 2009 1125 CR for street use? thanks |

Not Lyndall golds!!! I have always been partial to EBC HH pads on all my bikes. Strong initial bite and they modulate well. IMO the Lyndall golds suck. I would recommend staying the hell away from them! They leave deposits on the rotor, loud, no power, crap feel. I don't like them. |

I recently put EBC HH on the front and EBC black on the back of my XT. Love them both. The HH have serious stopping power, took me a while to get used to but i will never go back to lyndall gold. The black on the back are less "abrupt" than the HH on the front, but still a stronger bite than stock. I used to have to stand on the rear pedal to keep the bike stationary on hills. Now moderate pressure works perfectly. Both ends feel like what i've always wanted out of my sport-oriented commuter bike. Note: i also have the EBR front rotor, so that may skew my review of the HH pads. |

I've had good luck with Ferodo and Lyndal. |
