Daniel Craig is best Bond ever. I loved Sean Connery, but the "new" Bond is so much closer to Ian Fleming's character from the books.

The little touches.. a couple of reminiscent images during the opening credit sequence (Adele rocked that song, btw), the handful of classic Bond nuances throughout the movie.. I thought it was amazing. Anyone who has seen and appreciated "classic" Bond will absolutely love this movie.

We really liked it as well. As much for the immersive location cinematography as for anything else.

Much of it could have been lifted *right* out of a really good moody Anime. It was great.

Agree with Fahren: The original Bond was a chain smoking, alcoholic, man-slut. Hated Roger Moore (too prissy). Craig was a good choice, IMO.

Javier Bardem plays a great villain, just like in No Country for Old Men. This film had a good story and wasn't based upon some madman bent on world domination with a laser beam in space.

The last Bond movie I saw in a theater was Octopussy in the early 80's. I have only seen a few Bond movies since then, and not one of them were fit for even the small screen. I wasn't sure I wanted to go to a theater to see another Bond movie- for me, they had become nothing more than a plot written around a few outlandish stunt scenes.

I was wrong. Skyfall is a damn good movie, and the first modern Bond flick to engross me in the 007 mystique I was enamored with as a kid. This is a big-screen movie- and most definitely worth seeing.

Mme & Master G went to see it on Sunday, I didn't because it was in French & I just can't bring myself to pay to watch a film that I know I won't enjoy because of the language.

So Don't tell me about it because I haven't seen it yet.

Grumpy, you will love the part with the sharks with lasers on their heads!

(In all seriousness, I think there really was a moment in Skyfall where the movie paid a tribute to the Austin Powers movies paying tribute to the Bond movies, which I think was *really* cool, even if I was the only one in the theater that laughed out loud when I saw it. Anyone else catch it?)
