Both folks whose political opinions should mean nothing. They are entertainers, I care as much about who they are voting for as I do about whether they prefer Coke or Pepsi. Meatloaf is past his prime so perhaps he's actually back to reality, but the way I see it, successful entertainers are most likely the only folks more out-of-touch with the real world than successful politicians.
My point is.. Romney did not add credibility to his Presidential campaign by aligning himself with B-list entertainers. Especially ones that are washed up and have possible mental infirmities.
What makes this even worse is getting up and singing...again. Willard, didn't you learn your lesson the first time you tried to sing?
I am not looking for a late night talk show host. I am looking for a real leader to become President of the United States. Someone precisely like Mitt Romney in 2013 and Paul Ryan in 2021.
Sorry that all you can think about is being a sniper and focusing on banalities. I guess you are "funny" but your message is way beyond suspect. I suggest you join us next door since it is obvious that you have a point that you wish to make.
Seems to me like it was a more enjoyable type of thing. I don't see it as an attempt to "add credibility to his Presidential campaign".
But then again, I don't see his Presidential campaign as needing more credibility. Others may differ, but if you're looking at "Mitt Romney Sings With Meatloaf" videos on youtube looking for credibility, I feel you're on the wrong track.
Very Much a Meatloaf fan. "Paradise By The Dashboard Light" is a generational anthem.
"The Rocky Horror Picture Show" is not only a cult classic, but holds the record for longest run of a motion picture in the Theater. Ever. ( I admit it was better the first year, before you got all the people vamping up front ) I haven't seen it this century, but the Album is in the car stereo, and on long road trips... if I think no one is watching... I sing along.
Like the food too.
Bruce? Got some good tunes. Great band.
His politics? Who cares? Seems like an idiot last I heard him. Thank goodness his job is to entertain, not run a country. That goes for all the celebs. Katy, Meatloaf, Pink, Clooney... I'll enjoy your stuff if I like it, but honestly, your opinion is as valid as anyones. You just have an audience.
Nice to know not everyone drinks the Koolaid, though.
I have all of Springsteen's Cds - seen him several times; but I care NOT for his politics. At all. And Clinton using Fleetwood Mac's 'Don't Stop' was nausiating - but I still like the group.
I don't care what entertainers think of politics, if we are swayed by popularity and iconography as a nation.... oh wait that already happened.
revisit the last 4 years for more than enough reason as to why Hollyweird matters not for Political Reality.

Rush Limbaugh is a successful entertainer. Said so himself, seems back when he was the keynote speaker for the GOP.
BTW, I voted today. Found out not just one, but two local friends were on the ballot, both running for Congress.
Reindog It is almost time to vote. Nothing I say will sway your opinion on this election. I say it is time to lighten up and laugh!!!
I can't help it that Willard makes me laugh! He is EVIL, but funny...sorry. He just reminds me of every d!ckhead boss I ever had! EVERY TIME he tries to fit in and act like an actual human, it is uncomfortably humorous! Ned FlandersforPresident!!!
Uhhhhhhh....BTW... You are sticking up for Meatloaf. Did you watch Meatloaf and Romney singing together?
As for your invitation to argue, no thanks, but if you want to continue to defend the ridiculous, please continue. I could use a few more laughs!!!
Not surprised the meatloaf endorsement is what occupys your mind. A lot of us are worried about energy prices this winter on top of food, health insurance and why our administration failed to send support to our consulate in Libya and then blame the attack on an American who made a stupid video. Its offensive they think we are that stupid.
I do! It's the real annoying group of overpaid blowhards that keep The President from doing whatever he wants to. He's quite upset with them, and has declared he doesn't need them. ( as Ceasar didn't need the Roman Senate at a certain point, IIRC )
Did I get that right?
Truth in advertising. I totally sympathize with the President on Dealing With Congress.
Celebrity politics!
I admire an artist, say, Pink. I consider her the Queen of the angry breakup song, and at least a Princess in the Teen Angst category. She did an anti-war song "to" Bush.
So? Anti-war songs are a large part of MY culture, ( Alice's Restaurant to War Pigs ) and Georgie was in charge at the time. I have a skip button on most things today. It's the 21st century. I don't Have to listen to every song an an album. ( and when was the last time you DID like every song on an album? For me it was Alannah Myles's "Rockinghorse". )
I'm a tiny bit disappointed that she hasn't written another to commemorate the 2000th American killed in Afghanistan, and the fact that more American's died on the Afghan Front in the last 3 1/2 years than in the 7 before it. ( usually a sign your ROE's are wrong. Like Vietnam. I hate it when history Rhymes sometimes... )
OTOH, it's not like the media was celebrating these milestones in history as they did with the past Prez.
In any event, unless some artist is egregious about shoving his/her politics in my face, it doesn't really affect my capitalist pig-dog buying habits.
What does a Cardasian care about my politics, and Vice versa?
Johnnymceldoo lost his humor too. Here is an idea... Turn off the news, talk radio, and political chat boards. Turn on some music. Find something that makes YOU laugh. Share it.
Your excessive ranting and raving serves only to ulcerate yourself.
Laughter IS the best medicine. Music sooths the soul.
Remember, on November 7 we are all still Americans.
Oh, the lies of Libya by itself won't bring down America, that's like saying the assassination of some minor Archduke would kick off a World War. How likely is that?
It does seem to be a step towards a Caliphate. ( the people claiming responsibility for the murders say so ) One has to wonder if that is the intention of our President.
Thanks for the advice Union man, I'm going to put "Immigrant Song" by Led Zeppelin, "March of Cambreath" by Heather Alexander, and "U & Your Hand" by Pink on heavy rotation on the player while I'm cleaning some guns....
This is at least the second post from you telling Aesquire to avoid conversations. Are you sticking up for your secret boyfriend? If not, why don't you worry about yourself?
Those most against something are usually suppressing some deep forbidden feelings.
