Headless Horseman Run 8th Annual! Please let me know if you plan on attending, or if you'll likely be there next Sunday? I need to get an idea of how many centerpieces to order. Thanks. |

No Hammer run. Havent gotten the bagger quite set up for that yet. Few suspension mods in order and it will be perfect. |

"I'd love to but they haven't built the bridge yet." A tunnel would be shorter I don't think I can make it. Family stuff perhaps happening. |

A tunnel would be shorter, True, but where would you put the rest stops. I was just thinking about this. If such a thing were to exist & you drove a commercial truck, weighing over 12t gross, at it's European mandarory restricted maximum speed of 56 mph, & obeyed the necessary drivers hours regulations, you would need a week & 5 truckstops, just to cross over. Hmmm not such a good idea after all. Perhaps I could interest the wife in a transatlantic cruise & slip my bike into the luggage. (Message edited by Mr_grumpy on October 22, 2012) |

Hey halfway through, it would be downhill too. The second half of the trip would be a bummer though. |

I'll be there for lunch, can't make the ride though. I'll be there rain or shine, though I may just take the car down if it's particularly cold/downpouring. I need me that BBQ! |

Mark, depending on the weather, the end time may be different. If the weather is really crappy, I have an abridged route. |

Weather is going to be fine. Way too early to predict with any accuracy. That's a fact. |

I rode the route in its entirety today. It's about 160+ miles. The roads are in good shape, and the BBQ at the end point is still maintaining its quality. As always wet leaves and cold tires should be watched for. The Hudson Valley chapter of the Sons of Monarchy look forward to seeing you all there. The leaf colors are past their peak, but there is still quite a bit of color to be seen. We are looking right now at about 40% chance of rain so we will make the call that morning of whether to run the abridged route or not. It'll likely be overcast all day so wear your woolies and or electrics. I had to take shelter at the Ulster County fairground to put on the rain gear, since it starting spritzing a bit. But of course as soon as I got the gear on, the weather cleared up.

Nah, Sandy's not coming until late Monday. Sunday is just a front coming from the midwest. Forecast has been stalled all week, I think that what they say on Saturday will be the best bet. Hoping for mostly overcast skies. Doz, you stopping at exit two this time? |

I always take my rain gear on the principle that the day I don't have it, it's sure to rain! |

my main reason is that my tires ARE NOT very rain friendly actually i can not take a turn at anything over 15 mph , it sucks but they are great when its dry. |

I'm out too, sorry. Wish I could make it, but I've got other plans and, after a recent trip, a rear tire showing belts. |
