Wild fo sho! I disagreed with the infield call as well but the cards got dished two big bad calls as well with Craig beating the runner to 1st in the ninth and the timout pitch to two run homer. Go CARDINALS! | ||

Out of town friends were at a "cigar bar" with swells from Cards and Nationals front office, after tonight's game. Ah, to be a baseball fan again. Mmm, maybe not. Grumps, I'll keep my eye out for proper swag if they stay in the fight. | ||

I think the National League winner will end up taking the World Series because the two teams in the American don't have the pitching. But it's going to be a tough NL championship. GO CARDS!!! | ||

Happy as I am that the Card's made it, I can't help but feel sorry for the Nationals fans. Best record all year long, runaway division winners, then to have it all snatched away just one strike short. They must feel gutted. But that's one of the things I love about Baseball, it's a game of stat's & percentages, but it can flip flop in the blink of an eye. | ||

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the 4 teams with the best record in baseball this season are all out of the playoffs now. Washington, Cincinnati, Oakland, and Texas! That's why like baseball so much! If your team gets hot at the right time, they have a chance GO CARDS! | ||

Mr. Grumpy, that happened to us Cards fans in 04'. Best team in baseball having to give up home field to the wild card Red Sox because of the all star game??? WTF? I can't stand Selig. I view '12 as us extracting revenge on the wild card system that penalized us in the '04 WS. | ||

Time to wring my hands and gnash my teeth, not being a Cards fan, per se, but living in a house of them. Since moving to St. Loo, the team has a way of pulling rabbits out of the hat. We shall see. | ||

Game one is a good one. The Cards are also well represented in the broadcast booth with Joe Buck and Tim Mccarver. I thought I heard one of them throw their headset down during the Giants' 4th-inning rally. | ||

Well honours even, I never expected the Giants to roll over so I'm not that surprised. Is it me, or has the post-season umpiring been particularly abysmal this year? There seem to have been a lot of missed & strange calls. Tonights controversy wouldn't have changed the outcome but it cost the Card's 2 runs. | ||

I know, it's nail biting, Cards can't seem to win without letting it go to the wire. The kicker is that if they lose game 7 of the NLCS they will have won 7 out of 13 postseason games & gone away with nothing, not even a pennant. COME ON YOU CARDINALS! | ||
