Joe did not look at his notes and pout. He talked over Ryan a number of times Snickered, made comments under his breath Lied his arse off etc but he engaged in the discussion.
President Obama quickly praised his running mate’s performance in the vice presidential debate on Thursday night, declaring Joe Biden’s efforts “terrific.”
“I could not be prouder of him. I thought he made a very strong case,” Obama told reporters on the tarmac at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland as he returned from a day of campaigning in Florida.
I couldn't be prouder of Romney and Ryan. I think they're doing terrific.

Poll: Romney Opens 7-Point Lead in Florida Alana Goodman, Oct 12, 2012
Mitt Romney’s 7-point lead in the TBT/Herald/Mason-Dixon poll is the latest sign of a Florida surge:
The survey conducted this week found 51 percent of likely Florida voters supporting Romney, 44 percent backing Obama and 4 percent undecided. That’s a major shift from a month ago when the same poll showed Obama leading 48 percent to 47 percent — and a direct result of what Obama himself called a “bad night” at the first debate.
...Any poll that shows a shift as significant as this one should be taken with caution. But there are other indications that there’s strong momentum behind Romney in Florida, including today’s Rasmussen (which shows Romney +4) and ARG (which shows Romney +3). There’s also the assessment of the Suffolk University pollsters, who pulled out of Florida, Virginia and North Carolina this week after saying Romney has already definitively locked up these states.
...The bottom line? Obama appears to be in serious trouble in America’s biggest battleground state. He has two debates and 25 days to turn it around, but the poll points to a race that had been close and stable for months shifting significantly toward the Republican nominee.
The "debate" last night was akin to being in a bar at midnight and trying to correct a shouting drunk sitting on a bar stool in the corner.
Biden has always been and continues to be an embarrassment. He lost control of his emotions and was disrespectful of his opponent as well as the moderator. I guess the O-base might find this amusing but it is seriously doubtful that centrists and independents will condone this behavior. Upon reflection, most people will realize that Ryan debated in a controlled, intelligent fashion.
You have to realize what he was given to work with. He can't make much of a case for their record. They aren't offering anything new. The best he could do was to try to upset the R&R apple cart. He did the best he could do in that regard, but Ryan was poised enough to not take the bait. I can fix that for you though... "Bidet did a TERRIBLE job the past four ears". Four more ears... Four more ears... Four more ears...
Reindog and Sifo, concur 100%. Bidet had a job to do, and he did it well.
Frighteningly well.
The way I see it:
1) R&R lost not a single supporter last night. Ryan proved he's a class act, poised and prepared. Too bad he wasn't allowed to actually debate, but he STILL won whatever that fiasco was last night.
2) 0&B lost MANY supporters last night. Sure, they'll keep their core constituency no matter what, but Dem's who really care about our country - and I know they're out there - have to be absolutely disgusted with the D party right now, and I bet many of them are abandoning ship as we speak.
3) The fence-sitters, the folks in the middle? If they're truly engaged and paying attention, they know what they saw last night, and will be voting red.
So......although it was a farce of a debate, Ryan was the clear winner, and the R&R ticket gained a lot of voters out of the deal.
Here's a clip of Romney on the stump today, sounding presidential as usual.
Who would you prefer to step into the presidency if it became necessary: Joe Biden or Paul Ryan? Biden has been and is an unhinged personality as experienced by all to see last night. Ryan was patient, knowledgeable, and smart enough to not take Biden's Saul Alinsky inspired bait.
Thanks Ferris, Nice assessment of Bidets' performance ( still snickering over bidet )
1313 was over for the car show this week end. We caught the SNL Parody LMAO, The "Big Bird, reaction" to the campaign ad was good too.
Been watching a Regan documentary, it makes me wonder how, obama got in to start with, after Carter HOW could any one vote for a Liberal-progressive [ Socialist ]

You're welcome. "Bidet" seemed to fit so I ran with it. What a loser.
Like Mark Levin said, Bidet disrespected ALL of us in the debate "This is what a true democrat looks and sounds and behaves like" debacle last week, every single honest, hard-working, patriotic American who busts their hump so that this pompous clown can sit there and make a fool out of himself.
And, by extension, make a fool out of our great nation.
He'll be resoundingly voted out of office in several weeks. I hope history treats him with the level of respect he deserves.

It’s really hard for the Commission on Presidential Debates to find truly neutral moderators, because of how neutral is perceived.
If the moderator were from Fox News, even if a non-ideological news person like Bret Baier, there would be howls of protest from the Obama campaign and the media.
Yet Candy Crowley is acceptable for some unknown reason despite describing the Ryan nomination as a death wish. While she attributed the comment to unidentified Republicans, she seemed pretty enthused about it:
Missouri looks safely red, so I don't have to vote for president. Just the lesser offices and whatever issues may be on our ballot. I'll put signs in our yard, none for prez.
Time to go check out the stuff on InfoWars w/ Alex the Jones, for some subjective conspiracy theories.
Texas Talk Show Host Taking 1000 Listeners to Florida to Beat Obama William Bigelow, Oct 15, 2012
How many times have we heard that Texans are independent and determined to stay that way? It’s never been more true than it is now.
In an incredibly inspiring story, Texas talk show host Michael Berry is heading an effort to bring more than 1000 of his listeners across the country to Florida to help win the state for Mitt Romney. Florida’s 29 electoral votes may be the key to winning the election on November 6. The listeners will meet in Texas, caravan from there at their own expense, and pick up other listeners along the way.
Berry broadcasts from Houston, and the caravan is leaving there on October 28 and will arrive in Pensacola that same night. For the next week the volunteers will drive vans to help local Florida voters get to the polling places.
Berry said:
quote:
“I just threw the idea out there, and listeners across the country responded with an overwhelming willingness to do it. I was half kidding, because the logistics of such a trip are a nightmare. But we brought in 50 listeners to volunteer to coordinate this, and what they’ve done is nothing short of amazing.”
And there are inspiring stories within the story. One such story is the journey of Kyle Coplen. He was asked by Berry to be the vice-chairman of the committee, but with a pregnant wife and a new business cleaning swimming pools, he couldn’t pay the $1000 for the trip. Berry offered to cover the expenses, but Coplen was determined to pay his own way, saying, “I just made a simple flyer, saying ‘Will Work for Romney’, which I thought was catchy. I put the flyer on the doors of houses that had Romney signs in the yards.”
Soon, people impressed by his work ethic and unique need for money hired Coplen to work for them. Coplen refused every offer of a donation, explaining that he wanted to earn his own way to Florida, just as the United States needs to earn its way out of its problems.
Swing States poll: Women Push Romney Into Lead In the swing states, the power of women A new USA TODAY/Gallup Poll of the Swing States shows Mitt Romney with a lead among likely voters as he strengthens his standing with women in the nation's top battlegrounds.
9:06 PM EDT October 15. 2012 - WASHINGTON —
Mitt Romney leads President Obama by four percentage points among likely voters in the nation's top battlegrounds, a USA TODAY/Gallup Poll finds, and he has growing enthusiasm among women to thank.
As the presidential campaign heads into its final weeks, the survey of voters in 12 crucial swing states finds female voters much more engaged in the election and increasingly concerned about the deficit and debt issues that favor Romney. The Republican nominee has pulled within one point of the president among women who are likely voters, 48%-49%, and leads by 8 points among men.
Poll: Romney Has Large Lead Near Landslide In Rural Swing Counties Howard Berkes, Oct 16, 2012
As Mitt Romney and President Obama get ready for their second debate, a new bipartisan survey shows a surge for Romney in a key voter group following their first debate Oct. 3.
The random cellphone and land line poll of 600 likely rural voters in nine battleground states Oct. 9-11 has Romney at 59 percent among the survey's respondents. Obama's support is now down to 37 percent among rural battleground voters, a plunge of 10 points from the actual rural vote in those states four years ago.

Mitt Romney has been a champion of small business his entire life. America has never had a candidate for president who understands the needs of small business like Mitt.
I was "on the fence" about tonight but now I predict Mitt Romney will shine brighter. Side by side, Mitt is the obvious choice and after tonight it will become much clearer for the remaining "on the fence" voters. Unless someone makes a complete a$$ of themselves..... Should be fun either way.
Holding President Obama Accountable Published on Oct 16, 2012 by rnc

Obama stated Romney would reduce taxes... but not say how until after the election...... that reminds me of the pelosi healthcare statement. It really shouldn't bother any obamacare lovers.
I'm calling BS on CC pulling the prez out of the "Mitt-Grinder", then later admitting he was essential right, it seems that Libya may be a mill stone around obamas neck. Nixon Resigned for less.
the calls in to C-span's open lines confirmed my views again MOST of the Dem supporters choose by FEELINGS rather than by looking at the issues ...
