Mike has not made a ton of progress. He is still in a coma. They have almost weened him off the ventilator so that he is totally breathing on his own. This should be finished today. He is still opening his left eye completely and is opening his right eye a little bit periodically. He is not tracking movement with his eyes at all yet. Since it has been over a month he is going to need a lot of PT once he's awake. I keep hoping that he takes a big step forward, but it seems like tiny little baby steps are all we get. Thanks for all the well wishes and please keep the positive thoughts coming. I am working on getting a helmet signed by some of the MotoGP guys next weekend at Indianapolis which I then plan to auction off on EBAY and donate all the proceeds. They took him from Good Sam hospital and sent him back to University to replace the portion of skull which was removed the day of the accident. After being in recovery for less than an hour Mike had his eyes open again. He had started to recognize people and can remember names, prior to the surgery he was also asking why he was at the hospital. This is all good news as it seems as though his brain is finally starting to recover some. Hopefully today's surgery does not cause a setback as the doctors had  warned.
