This One-State Solution is classic! The entire Middle East should be Israel!

Unfortunately, you-know-who does not find it amusing.

Read Klavan's column at the link below. Here is a summary and even though the language is harsh, it is the truth.

1. Obama’s policies are actually bad for the underdogs and minorities.
"Dumb people vote for what looks good. Smart people vote for policies that work. Assuming Jews truly care about helping minorities and underdogs, Jews who vote for Obama are dumb Jews".

2. Obama appeases Jew-hating Islamists.
"Jews don’t always have to vote for what’s “good for the Jews.” But Jews who vote for policies that encourage their own annihilation are dumb Jews".

3. Obama is no friend to Israel.
"Smart Jews know that Israel is important not just for their own survival but for the freedom of the world.

Jews who vote for Barack Obama are dumb Jews".

While I've only been on this board a short time, this thread is/has been the best thread that I've enjoyed.

Thanks to all who are posting and thinking about our country and the role we play in world events.

This election is as important as 1980 was.

Thank you. I'm just doing what I can to help. It isn't much, but maybe I can encourage one or two people to stop down for a moment and actually consider the future of America instead of worrying about getting their new 0bamaphone.

My opinion? This election may be the most important since the founding of our nation. If 0bama wins reelection, there will be NO going back.

This year.... I can count the houses that have political yard signs on my way home from work on one hand
I haven't seen 1 for Obama

I disagree.

Odd as it sounds, this is where the American 'first past the post' (FPTP) electoral system can save the republic. Or at least minimize the damages.

If Obama is reelected, it will be with unimpressive margin, so unimpressive that as long as the Republican party retains control of the House, it can resist Obama's attempt at further changes to the country's character. Any criticisms at that resistance can be countered by the presentation of that thin reelection margin as evident of the people's dissatisfaction of the previous four years. If the entire Congress comes under the control of the Republicans, and if they present this changeover deftly, they can make a credible case to the American public that Obama's policies should at least be reviewed if not outright repealed.

Biden is likely to be unpalatable to the American electorate and if Hillary Clinton decides to challenge Biden for the Democratic Party nomination, the schism within will be painful for the Democrats. Biden is more a (political) thug while Clinton with her SecState experience will be seen as 'statesman-like'.

All is not lost.

The problem with that is Obama just ignores whatever law he doesn't like. Since he has a Congress that won't pass his budget he just doesn't bother trying to get one passed. That way he can spend freely without worrying about pesky laws that require him to pass a budget.

So, I'm sorry, if we keep spending like we are spending, I don't care who controls congress, we are sunk. And the only sure fire way to stop the ridiculous amount of spending and the astronomical growth in Government and the Deficit, is to vote Obama out of office.

If we don't we could be looking at high inflation, high unemployment and another recession that could blossom into a full blown depression. Heck, just look at all the European Socialist countries with out of control debt to see our future.

We already have a Debt per Capita ratio higher than Greece's. Why should we assume we are immune to Greece's fate.

The really sad thing about everything that is happening in the country today is that most Americans have become more concerned about protecting and ensuring their handout, our whatever, than worrying about the long term sustainability of their country. It is even more sad when you think that this is even to the detriment of the future of their own children.

The white house isn't special. Every corporation in America is infiltrated. Not has been, IS. People are stupid. All you can do is detect, mitigate, and remediate. Sounds like this is what they have done.

FYI - classified networks are not connected to the Internet.

Not likely.

Spear phishing attacks are quite sophisticated. These are not kids in their parent's basements, these are professionals. As in they get paid to do it. It's a 9-5 job for them.

Example:

A business man attends a conference. The next day he gets an email from the presenter. He is greeted by name with a note that says the slide deck from the presentation has been updated and a copy is attached.

The attachment is a virus that doesn't have a signature in any antivirus engine. it was created specifically to target that individual.

The above is not hypothetical. It happened. It happens all the time. I work in the antimalware field. I see things like this every day.

The really sad thing about everything that is happening in the country today is that most Americans have become more concerned about protecting and ensuring their handout,...
When I came to the US as a 12 yr old back in 1975, I knew next to nothing of English and of anything Americana. Yet it was drilled into me that just because there is a grace into the country and a path towards citizenship, that does not mean I was entitled to anything. Within four months and while struggling to learn English, I started delivering both the Honolulu Advertiser (0500 hr) and the Star Bulletin (1600 hr), each route was about 120 houses/apts on a used bike that we strained budget to buy. Today, sometimes I sadly wish I have that bike as a physical reminder of where we were.

Anyway, over the years, I noticed this gradual transformation of the American society from being fiercely independent from government to being ambivalently dependent onto government. I noticed the public discourses deftly explained on why the government owes the people this and that and on why the people is beholden to the government this way and that way.

Am not sure if the Obama 'regime' is the 'point of no return' or 'jump the shark' moment for the American society or not, moment as in historical scale, but I do know that if the advice/admonition about the price of freedom is eternal vigilance has any applicability in practical terms, we should never have reached this 'point of no return' or 'jump the shark' moment in the first place. Not only is Obama a bad President for the US, he is the wrong person for the position to start. If you know a part is not fit for the machine, why would you install it anyway to make the machine 'bad'? And yet enough of you Americans voted for him to move the country a bit closer to that 'point of no return', if not there already.

I would not go so far as to say this America is not the same one I met back in 1975, but it certainly has not evolved the way I expected from a people whose distrust of government is enshrined in a constitution that all must ostensibly abide by.

It doesn't say that.

The article also says "reportedly". That doesn't make it so.

I can tell you that classified systems, which would include all weapons systems, are NOT connected to the Internet, or even to other unclassified military networks.

I suspect this article, like most news articles about cyber stuff, is full of misunderstandings and sensationalism.

Agreed, ( and tends to be true about most of the media,)

I para phrased about the nuclear

it was in the story as, >>>reportedly including systems used by the military for nuclear commands<<<

perhaps there are other nuclear systems used by the military that the white house commands.

What the story points up to me is that we are not properly managing important stuff}

From the article--

"This was a spear phishing attack against an unclassified network," a White House official told FoxNews.com. "These types of attacks are not infrequent and we have mitigation measures in place."

That, and the other statements at the end about the ongoing and prolific nature of Chinese attacks on American businesses are the only things worth learning from this article.

Chinese C&C hosts are fairly well known to the security community. New ones pop up all the time, but are found fairly quickly. You detect and block the phone home traffic, wipe/image the PC the traffic came from, and move on. Short of disconnecting from the Internet or denying the Chinese military the use of the Internet, that's about all you can do. Prevention is nearly impossible. The right systems can detect and block the vast majority of it prior to infection, but some of the more sophisticated attacks aren't malware when they're delivered. They become that later, after the mail has been delivered. We'll always be one (or more) steps behind.

There may actually be some justification for Obama's actions here. Then again.... maybe not.

For an admin that renamed terrorism as "man made disaster" ( wrong bb brains, that was New Orleans ) and steadfastly insists that a guy who screamed "allahu akbar" as he shot his "fellow" soldiers at Ft Hood is a "workplace violence" case....Lies come as naturally as breathing.

BTW, didn't Obama murder Nidal Hasan's spiritual adviser in AQ with a drone attack even though he was a "citizen" because he supported terrorism????

Like Nidal Hasan shooting up Ft Hood?

Obama has bragged that he decides who lives and dies in these anti terrorist drone strikes. I could support him on his mass killing, if he was a little less arrogant about it. It also reminds me way too much of LBJ's comment "they can't bomb an outhouse without my say-so" while making insane ROE's that killed thousands of Americans. ( like not allowing us to bomb SAM missile sites unless they shot first..... )
