Probably picking up an 08 with 6xxx miles on it this coming weekend. Anyone have any experience with these? Not replacing my XB just adding to her!

Pics to come for sure, looks just like No_Rice's but with the Leo pipe.

No_Rice, have you had any issues with it? I know you have to religious about oil changes and valve checks.

no REAL problems, except it seems to seep oil from basically everywhere... not leaking enough to drip or anything, but almost every gasket has a film around it, some much worse then others(enough to make a thin puddle by the sparkplug). even the oil fill plug doesnt hold in oil. its been seeping since i got it with like 200 miles on it, i taped the threads and that works for awhile till it starts to seep again. it is pissing me off that i should tear a bike down that only maybe 1500 miles on it so i can make it stop.

and i still have to do the first valve check...

and its bone stock, pretty much never been apart.

other then that, it runs great and is loads of fun!

havent figured out a good compromise on the suspension. its fairly soft for some of my bigger jumps, but pretty stiff for regular old bumpy roads...

Thanks for the info. I sure hope this one isn't like that! How's it handle in the dirt with the street tires on it?

I'm excited!

Avon Distanza's are a great Sumo tire that can do a little dirt.

How's it handle in the dirt with the street tires on it?

well.... depends on what your used to i guess. it drifts nice... as long as you dont lose the front mid turn on the loose stuff!

this is my normal type of riding... so...

guess im just used to it. it gets by. i just carry ALOT of speed most of the time.

i hope to get another set of rims for street tires and then use the stock ones for dirt and such.

one of the guys i work with has a drz and runs these. and seems to like them. although he's not a real aggressive street rider he still does try to have fun.

i on the other hand, hope to try these out if i can get that other set of rims...

ya we had to go around some road construction... bridge was torn out, so instead we decided to jump down through the creek instead of back tracking all those damn miles!

Hahahaaa- Tim, I'll never forget you at BTF, when Barker got us all lost on those dang gravel roads/horse trails down in GA- I was REALLY wishing for a D/S then...

But you, just like the Honey Badger, DON' CARE!
