I think conservatives and libertarians need to realize they are not the only ones frustrated right now. Democrats all over the spectrum are frustrated. For one their platform has alot good ideas at face value. Care for the sick, elderly, and poor. A level playing field for minorities. But the party is not without major conflicts. You can't have a president and prominent members blasting the rich when you take money from rich corporations, filthy rich celebrities and union power brokers. You claim to fight for women in one hand and idolize men like bill Clinton, all gore and any number of Kennedy men. The Kennedy family alone is a giant contradiction to progressive ideology. Its no wonder they're so upset. If your going to talk the talk you better walk the walk. Dennis Kucinich might be a good example.

I'd love to get in Hillary Clinton's head and see how she really feels about her party. Chris Mathews really said some hurtful things about her during the 08 primary.

For what it's worth, I just did some fact-checking online and discovered, much to my dismay, that Ryan is, indeed, a golfer (he has been inspired to learn the game by none other than the President, I understand), and once scored 18 holes-in-one on a nine-hole golf course.

We are SO screwed.

I think it's funny that people say some democrats are also frustrated with Obama, as if we have something in common. The criticism from the Micheal Moore/Bill Maher crowd is that Obama isn't liberal enough. Hardly my complaint at all.

Thank you for your thoughtful post. I hope you find a way to heal after what has engulfed you and your loved ones lives. You embody the qualities of what people like FB1 and me are trying to get people to open up with. I care for who one votes for but I care even more that each Voter does so from an informed perspective.

It was fun watching the media's questioning of Romney at his press conference this morning. They kept asking the same questions as to why Romney dared to criticize Obama's APOLOGY to the terrorists (before it was learned that these same terrorists murdered our ambassador and staff). Nice going in providing cover for the Apologist In Chief. The media never disappoints in its failure to do the objective job of reporting.

Here's a link to Mr. Romney's press conference. The questions asked of him were hostile, for the most part, but he handled himself well and sounded like he's quite ready and qualified to assume leadership of the United States of America. He mentioned the US Constitution a lot. Music to my ears.

FULL PRESS CONFERENCE: Mitt Romney’s statement on Libya and Egypt

Posted by The Right Scoop on September 12th, 2012

Mitt Romney gave a statement a few minutes ago on the attack on both the embassies in Libya and Egypt as well as the death of the Ambassador to Libya and those who worked for him.

He also took questions from a hostile press that clearly were pushing the narrative that he had made a mistake yesterday by releasing his statement criticizing the Obama administration for it’s apology from the embassy in Egypt. But Romney stood strong and defended his actions very well.

Romney did handle himself well with respect to the hostile press. He reflected back their questions to what the real issue is. Romney had the guts to take questions. A few minutes later, Obama did what he does best: uttered some meaningless hollow words and took no questions.

Tom, this is an interesting added element to the "hostile fire" Mr. Romney took this morning during his press interview.

This is an open mic capture just moments before Romney appeared before the press this morning. The most incriminating portion, IMO, comes at the 0:55 mark. The female reporter who says this is the one sitting in the front row directly in front of the podium.

Medias bias? Gosh, who'da thunk it?!?

EXCLUSIVE: Open mic captures press coordinating questions for Romney “no matter who he calls on we’re covered”

Posted by The Right Scoop on September 12th, 2012 in Politics

Before Romney issued his statement today, an open mic capture the press coordinating questions to ask Romney, with one saying “no matter who he calls on we’re covered on the one question”. I’ve transcribed it to the best of my ability but the audio is below for verification:

I’ve labeled one as the CBS News reporter as I believe it is Nancy Cordes who works for CBS News. I’ve I gotten that wrong I apologize and will correct.
[EDIT: The CBS reporter coordinating the journo attack on Mr. Romney this morning is Jan Crawford -- FB]

UNIDENTIFIED REPORTER: …pointing out that the Republicans… *unintelligible* …Obama….

CBS REPORTER: That’s the question.

UNIDENTIFIED REPORTER: *unintelligible*

CBS REPORTER: Yeah that’s the question. I would just say do you regret your question.

UNIDENTIFIED REPORTER: Your question? Your statement?

CBS REPORTER: I mean your statement. Not even the tone, because then he can go off on…

UNIDENTIFIED REPORTER: And then if he does, if we can just follow up and say ‘but this morning your answer is continuing to sound…’ – *becomes unintelligble*

CBS REPORTER: You can’t say that..

**Later**

CBS REPORTER: I’m just trying to make sure that we’re just talking about, no matter who he calls on we’re covered on the one question.

UNIDENTIFIED REPORTER: Do you stand by your statement or regret your statement?

MSM Reporters Caught on Open Mic Planning Attack on Romney
by Joel B. Pollak, 12 Sep 2012

The Right Scoop reports that unnamed mainstream media journalists were caught on a live mic coordinating hostile questions for Republican presidential contender Mitt Romney before his press conference today on the U.S. embassy attacks.

Their goal was to make sure that no question would address the substance of the crisis but instead put Romney on the defensive about made-up mistakes in his criticism of President Obama.

In the event, six out of the seven questions were almost exactly the same [see below], all questioning Romney for his supposed mistake. (Romney handled the questions very well.)

By contrast, President Obama did not take questions at his press conference today--and rather than criticize the Obama administration's failure to anticipate the 9/11 embassy attacks, the State Department's eagerness to apologize for any offense caused by an obscure anti-Islamic film, or the Obama campaign's immediate departure for a Las Vegas fundraiser in the midst of a profound crisis, the mainstream media is attacking Republican Mitt Romney for criticizing the president--and lying about what he said.

The Insane MSM Questions Romney Faced at Presser
By Katrina Trinko, September 12, 2012

So if a presidential candidate gives remarks about a foreign-policy crisis, you’d be forgiven for thinking that in the Q&A held immediately afterward, reporters would ask him about . . . foreign policy. But when Mitt Romney took questions today after talking about the situation in Libya and Egypt, the dominant theme of the questions was all about process and politics. Here are the seven questions asked:

1. Reporter brings up that Romney had a “toughly worded statement last night,” and asks, “Do you regret the tone at all given what we know now?”

2. “Do you think, though, coming so soon after the events really had unfolded over night was appropriate, to be weighing in on this as this crisis was unfolding in real time?” Follow-up: “What did the White House do wrong then, Gov. Romney, if they put out a statement saying they disagreed with it?”

3. “The world is watching. Isn’t this itself a mixed signal when you criticize the administration at a time that Americans are being killed? Shouldn’t politics stop for this?”

4. “Some people have said that you jumped the gun a little bit in putting that statement out last night and that you should have waited until more details were available. Do you regret having that statement come out so early before we learned about all of the things that were happening?”

5. “If you had known last night that the ambassador had died, and obviously, I’m gathering you did not know . . . if you had known that the ambassador had died, would you have issued such a strongly-issued statement?”

6. Reporter comments that Romney is running on his “economic know-how and private sector experience,” and adds, “but now that foreign policy and the situation in the Middle East has been thrust into the presidential campaign, can you talk about why specifically you think you are better qualified than President Obama to handle these issues?”

7. “How specifically, Governor Romney, would a President Romney have handled this situation differently than President Obama did? You spoke out before midnight, when all the facts weren’t known. How would you have handled this differently than the president did?”

Only the last question even addressed what Romney would have done if he was in office. None of the questions asked Romney to give details or be more specific about what he thinks the United States should do going forward.

I wonder what Romney would do as president

as a candidate he did the right thing by not second guessing the prez.

It shows good judgment, some thing that the current prez lacks.

the apology to EGYPT or LIBBIA should cost some one their job.

The CBS reporter orchestrating the journos' hostile questioning of Mr. Romney this morning, links posted above, is Jan Crawford. She's no friend of the Republican Party, even though CBS plays their news like they're right down the middle.

It took some digging, but I found the connection to her sniggling at the 1:11 mark in the audio/video linked above. Listen to and watch her piece on Romney's visit to Poland back at the end of July:

http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-505267_162-57483168/ro mney-finds-warm-reception-in-poland-but-critics-st ill-fuming-over-palestinian-remarks-in-israel/

It starts out benign enough, but closes with a definite swipe at Mr. Romney. What will the casual viewer remember after watching this piece? How frustrated and angry the Romney team is.

And guess what: The "reporters" she mentions that are trying to ask questions to Mr. Romney as he's about to climb into his car is actually just ONE reporter, shouting over and over in a high, shrill voice. Is it her? Sounds like it to me.

Is this the "Governor! Governor! Governor!" comment amongst her chronies this morning as they plotted to stack the journo deck against Mr. Romney in his news conference? They all giggled like little schoolgirls when she made her little funny.

I haven't taken the time to research and type all this out for ME. I know mainstream medias bias exists, and the powerful influence it exerts on mainstream America.

I've done this for YOU, the BadWeB reader who wants to be just a little bit better informed as to exactly what our Republic is up against this November.

Pay close attention, America. This may be the last chance we'll ever have to save our country. Vote wisely.

Kudo's to Romney for a clear, concise statement.

Kenm123t, I like your Scorched Earth concept for Embassies. I suspect Ambassadors might not.

My response to this event might be, ( and I have very limited information, and would not act until I had much more ) to decapitate Iran's leadership, destroy the Revolutionary Guard, and destroy all the anti-shipping missiles ( mostly Chinese Silkworms ) that we had good locations on. I would then ask the new leaders to talk to us so that we can have peace. We'll give you a few days, work it out. Any FURTHER hostile action of Iran's part would get massive overkill.

Of course, that's what I would have done the minute I had proof that Iran was supplying weapons to AQ in Iraq.

About 7 seconds after my call to the Iranian leader asking him nicely to stop.

You remember, back in the Bush admin. ?

Then again, I'm a hawk, and in these matters tend to the Jacksonian view.

Ken, have you seen this (WARNING: Graphic photo of the body of Ambassador Stevens if you click on the link below):

quote:

Report: Libyan Security Showed Radicals Where to Attack Ambassador (Warning: Graphic Photo)
By Michael Patrick Leahy, 12 Sep 2012

According to a CBS News report updated at 8:39 am Eastern time Wednesday, the Libyan security forces hired to protect the American consulate in Benghazi, Libya moved Ambassador Chris Stevens to a second building within the consulate, then told the militant crowds where he was:

quote:

Wanis al-Sharef, a Libyan Interior Ministry official in Benghazi, said the four Americans were killed when the angry mob, which gathered to protest a U.S.-made film that ridicules Islam's Prophet Muhammad, fired guns and burned down the U.S. consulate in Benghazi.

He said Stevens, 52, and other officials were moved to a second building, deemed safer, after the initial wave of protests at the consulate. According to al-Sharef, members of the Libyan security team seem to have indicated to the protesters the building to which the American officials had been relocated, and that building then came under attack.

Stevens, 52, was the first U.S. ambassador to be killed in the line of duty since 1979.

Though information on the circumstances surrounding Ambassador Stevens's death remain unclear, it appears that the embassy was not guarded by American Marines, but instead by local Libyans hired to act as a security force.
