Old I have had my obama voting next door _____ chase my kid with thier cars wait at the bus stop for him. I am not talking abouts kids I am talking adults. We found out many in our HOA are drunken limosine liberals. We live in the swimming pool tennis court and our own ocean access marina community. In my experience libs and demos are the racists. I have to deal with .They either treat him like he is helpless and or are scared because he is next door. They like minorities any where else but next to THIER house. As long as they are some where else they are very prodiversity. My conservative neibhors have him house sitting and doing handy man work he has a nice little job base in walking distance.
We live with the bigotry etc and its usually from the left and democrats remember Robert Byrd WV democrat and Grand Dragon of the klan. Demos are lieing about history of racism. They are the party of racism!
I dont mean to be touchy about the subject but we get tired of being blamed with racism when we are the folks the racist libs attack.

I'm watching a woman named Elizabeth Warren. Lord help anyone that ever approaches being that stupid. I thought at first she just had her facts wrong. I was incorrect, she's just not very bright.

Econ 101 should be a prerequisite to serve in elected office or occupy time on television.

Although . . .this is better entertainment than Jersey Shore.

Court I agree its better but these demos have or will hold office. Its a horror show of basic personality disorders being trotted out for your approval.

Watching the demos for more than a few minutes and you start hoping every thing goes black and white and Rod Serling starts his first scene monolog! At that point you would know its only going to last 22 more minutes.

Andy, thanks for hanging in there. I only took exception to your Republicans seem to be racist or whatever you said exactly. That was just plain stereotypical and I KNOW that you are way better than that. Please post more so we can "have at it" in a civil discourse. You do realize that you will eventually be a Republican, don't you? ; )

This pertains to the "attitude adjustment?" you spoke of earlier, Stalking family is grounds for getting the sheriff involved...

Fences make good neighbors. Does your child have to interact with their children? if so perhaps a variety of after school activities are in order. To get your child away from the house when you can't spend time with ?him?

In my experience libs and demos are the racists. I have to deal with . that seems to be the prevailing demographic, although after reading some of the comments on the DNC, Clueless - and other seemingly derogatory labels apply too.

My conservative neibhors have him house sitting and doing handy man work he has a nice little job base in walking distance. Sounds like you should be proud of what your son is becoming ( a responsible and trust worthy young man )

As for your libby ultra diversity types next door etc dont waste your or his time on them they are not worth it. }

I looked to purchase a house one time and ruled it out. The neighbors had multiple Kerry signs out front.

I knew we wouldn't get along.

That and they had a ton of crap in piles behind their house.

How blatant does the racism have to be before it's condemned?

Before someone tries to say this isn't racist, please explain how it would be different if Republicans had buttons that said something like "Vote White Because It's Right".

It will never be "racist" because the black man has been suppressed and beaten down... which gives them the right to use their color as they see fit. ANYONE who does the same thing or copies that method will be considered mocking them and be defined as a racist. That is my only explanation, be it correct or completely wrong.. it is just off the top of my head and many other factors could play into it as well. Also... could be you just reading into it too much.... like trying to find something where there is nothing. But all is pure speculation.

I would say your first attempt is closest to the reality of the left. It's nothing but a double standard for bigotry though. I have no doubt at all that "Vote White Because It's Right" would get slammed for being racist.

Or how about "Don't vote black, it's time to go back"?

I am not an Obama supporter, I hope he looses the election. My concerns with Obama have nothing to do with his skin color. I would find that slogan offensive and ignorant. It's simply racist and prejudiced, and it should not be tolerated at either parties convention.

(Though I do wonder if the entitlement programs he participated in stunted him academically and professionally... but that' not a racial thing either... my room mate in college had a free ride because his Mom worked for the university... he was much smarter than me and never did get his degree... I was scraping every nickel to afford it and wrung every last ounce of value out of every class I took, and made sure I did everything necessary to get that degree)

It's funny how actually paying for an education with your own cash can make you appreciate it more. My parents made me pay for my college classes. I went from a C+ student in HS to almost straight As. I also didn't waste my money on a degree that would turn out to be close to worthless in the job market.

It's like that with anything though, my sister and I both got vehicles on the same day once. She was bought one since she was still in school and I paid for my truck with my own money. Needless to say my truck stayed a lot nicer over the years than her car.

If people don't work for something then they typically won't care for it in the same way. It's why entitlment programs are failures.

It's one of the areas that GWB failed. Best of intentions, but failure none the less. His idea for an "ownership society" made a lot of sense. In an effort to accelerate us toward that (mostly aimed at the poor, and only added government assistance to programs already in existence) he made grants available to help first time home buyers pay for the down payment and closing costs on housing. In theory these people would be proud to own this home and work to keep the neighborhood even better. In reality, they had nothing of their own invested, and it was too easy to walk away from what you didn't work for. This was a small part of the problem that lead to the real estate meltdown that crushed our economy.

Rein,

Me a Republican? Well i suppose anythings possible. To be honest the next republican nomination for Gov will have to be quite a dbag for me not to vote for him. I can't stand Illinois current Gov. I may be more open minded to being a republican when they start being more open minded to Gays and women. I value the rights of others as much as my own. I also value social programs as much as financial.

however it matters not in this election Obama will carry my state regardless. he was leading 2 to 1 last i heard. Sifo is beside himself I'm sure...

On another note bear with me. It's been a rough year and i don't feel like myself. It will return. I don't have the patience for online debates, but if you are ever ind Chicago let me know i will drink and debate all night. I'm better when speaking anyway. Also i barely ride right now. It's not that I'm scared on the bike. I just don't like it as much right now. Keep remembering things when i think about riding. they go away once I'm on it but its hard to find the motivation. Time will heal that.

As always take care my friend.

Speaking of open mindedness to women; watching Chris Mathews Wednesday talk with two Kennedy heirs talking about ted Kennedy and bill Clinton also came up. These two obviously very open minded to women. Not to leave out sidekicks like john edwards, al gore and Chris Dodd.

Former Obama Supporters Form Group in Support of Mitt Romney

Several high-profile former supporters of President Barack Obama in 2008 announced on Thursday they have now switched to Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan.

The group launched a petition online on the day Obama addressed the Democratic National Convention, hammering home the point that Obama let down many Democrats and independents who believed in his rhetoric of hope and change in 2008.

Former NBA and UNLV Runnin' Rebel basketball player Greg Anthony and former Democratic Congressman Artur Davis join Ashley Bell, Hall County Commissioner, Jane Edmonds, former Massachusetts Secretary of Workforce Development, and Barney Bishop, Former Executive Director of the Florida Democratic Party, on the national leadership team.

"I am proud to have these Democrats and former Obama supporters with me as I work to restore this country to prosperity," Mitt Romney said in a statement. "I hope that every American, regardless of party affiliation, will join us in that effort."

"Bill Clinton made a great speech about how he ought to be President, and how much better he was at the job than Obama. Apparently the speech went over well with Mrs. Clinton, who is said to have watched it from Brunei where she is attending some diplomatic event. The fashion reporters say she looked sharp. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/09/06/hillary-c linton-photo-style-brunei-china_n_1861487.html I have been unable to determine the exact nature of the diplomatic event that requires the presence of the Secretary of State.

Former President Clinton made a few references to foreign policy, but that wasn’t the thrust of his speech. He did a great job of demonstrating that we’d probably be better off now than we were four years ago if he had been President, but not so well at showing how things are better now than they were in January 2008. He tried, though, and kept at it for half an hour longer than scheduled. One can imagine the mood of the President as he waited behind the curtain to come out when Mr. Clinton finished his speech. And waited."

http://www.jerrypournelle.com/jerrypournelle.c/cha osmanor/

I suspect Hillary is waiting until at least December to announce her candidacy. Only be prudent.

Wise of her to be 10,000 miles away for this convention. This way she can avoid the fallout if Barry loses.

Romney and Ryan showed a lot of class this week and flew their campaign largely under the radar during the DNC in Charlotte.

It's "game on" now, of course.

This is an interesting, informative interview of Mitt Romney by Carl Cameron of Fox News that has just shown up online, with Mr. Romney's comments on the DNC, and the Democratic Party and President Obama in general.

This was recorded (I *think*) on Wednesday, obviously before the DNC rammed "God" and "Jerusalem" back into the Democratic platform in the contentious bogus delegate vote on same the other night.

Marco Rubio rocks. His speech at the RNC last week in support of the Romney/Ryan campaign was powerful.

So are his words regarding our economy:

quote:

Marco Rubio: The Real Debt Problem
By Javier Manjarres | The Shark Tank, Sep 7, 2012

The real debt problem America faces is the long-term structural debt, its not just the money we owe today, its the money we are going to owe, and the interest on the money we owe, the wars are not the cause of that.

Foreign aid is not the cause of our national debt, food stamps is not the cause of debt, discretionary spending is not the cause of our national debt. We have a national debt in our country for one very simple reason, we have a series of very good and very important government programs that are structured in a way that are not sustainable.

The structural problem in then entitlement programs, particularly in Medicare, that is the singular cause of the long-term national debt that we are facing

There is no tax increase that we can pass to pay off the national debt, there is none. If you tax the richest people in America at 100%, which you can’t do, because you can’t tax anything at 100%, it doesn’t even come close to paying the debt. There is only one solution, this is not a philosophical and ideological fight it doesn’t add up- the money is not there. You are talking about trillions of dollars in debt, 16 trillion The only solution to the debt is economic growth.

I'm reading and laughing my ass off at the big circle jerk going on here. I,however, except for this post, will not participate. And yes, the 16 trillion concerns me. And so does the $300,000,000 Romney has raised over the last 3 months. Where is that money coming from? From American citizens? I'm sure. But I'll bet 99% from corporations that have something to gain by controlling the President. Also, how the hell is Ryan going to find the time to be VP with all these marathons he runs and mountains he now claims to have climbed?

Top Contributors

This table lists the top donors to this candidate in the 2012 election cycle. The organizations themselves did not donate, rather the money came from the organizations' PACs, their individual members or employees or owners, and those individuals' immediate families. Organization totals include subsidiaries and affiliates.

Because of contribution limits, organizations that bundle together many individual contributions are often among the top donors to presidential candidates. These contributions can come from the organization's members or employees (and their families). The organization may support one candidate, or hedge its bets by supporting multiple candidates. Groups with national networks of donors - like EMILY's List and Club for Growth - make for particularly big bundlers.
