As part of our Health Maintenance Initiative at work, I carry a pedometer around to track how much exercise I get as I do My Job.
I have a goal of 7000 steps per day, about 3.3 miles of walking, and I almost always meet my goal. At times, I crest 12-15,000 steps, and I can definitely feel it in my bones on those days (and the day after!)
When I ride my ST1100 to work, the pedometer shows a few more steps than when I left, maybe 600 or so. I go over a bump, there are some steps, etc.
When I ride my VFR-700, I tend to be more, ahem, "sporting"; it shows up to 2000 steps, although I don't feel tired from the ride, quite the opposite in fact.
Yesterday I rode my Buell from Charlotte to Buena Vista over about 6 hours, smooth roads, sweeping turns. 12,500 steps!
This just goes to show that riding a bike such as the Buell can be Very Healthy... :-)

Leave the primary chain loose or get a bad front isolator and I'll bet you could double that!

... by your logic then, my health care provider can write me a Rx for a new Buell and the province will pay for it!

Make me an appointment Dr. Feelgood honey.

it should keep you out of the shrinks office and off the related prescriptions

they should just give you the bike in exchange for the premiums !
