To this dirt oval stuff, to the point that we already decided to upgrade cars next year. Picked this unit up last weekend, too good a deal to pass up. My bank account is doomed.

Yes I think you're bitten.

You going to call it "Bridget" then?

I worked on others cars for five years, built and drove my own for four years. Drug and alcohol addicts have it easy, they have a step program and rehab centers to go work things out when they quit.

It was five years after I stopped driving them, before I could see a race car or go to a track without suffering real withdrawl symptoms.

I recently bought a decent '91 camaro with an old style 350 4bbl with headers and such. The first thing I did with it, before I even drove it down the street, was throw it sideways in a long sliding left curve out in my field, then I spun lots of doughnuts.....I've done it more than once! What could this mean? My son said it is not normal to have the interior littered with bits of grass and mud. I keep thinking about a roll cage kit and a locked rear axle.

It seems like you are getting in it bad. For reference, the last race car I had was in 1985. It is going to stay with you for life.

That's an adorable little piece of work there.
Too bad you can't romp it through traffic!

Didn't bend the tubing. Both of my cars are Pro chassis cars. There are several companies that build these things. Some people do build them from the ground up on their own, but no so much anymore. We're very lucky around here to have an excellent machinest/fabricator locally that can fix or modify anything we can break or need to be made to fit.

Next years car has become this years end of season car. After a broken u joint last weekend exposed other issues with the old car with things that won't be used on the new one, we decided to park it and start putting the new one together and hopefully run a few races to feel it out and get a starting point for next year with chassis set up. Hopefully we'll have it ready to race in 2 weeks. I'll post pics as it progresses.
