if it wont list the name of the company, or an outside site to verify its 'reality'
yep - I would avoid responding to it

it is a curious phish, and it whent where evers I did gough

Company based in "your town" is a tip off.
I get sales calls from people who "work in my industry". I always ask them "Oh yeah? What industry is that?" They usually hang up.

Sad that they haven't improved their techniques after all these years. It's taken all the fun out of it.

Sounds legit to me. Obviously they noticed your good taste in motorcycle forums and equate this to fine managerial skills.
I'm sure that if you send them your bank account numbers and give them a spare house key they will hook you up with a great job.
I've been sent a great offer as well, they are putting about $5,000,000.00 in my bank account to watch for an exiled king as soon as I send them a thousand bucks to prove I'm trustworthy.
