Well, folks I can't say I actually listened to this all, actually none of it, gotta get a 'roun tuit... just read the whole thing and felt I should share.
I went to N'Awlins when I was 11YO, for my sis' graduation from Baptist seminary... not been back since, but somehow, I feel that I should.
Well, crap- 1, I've still got to rebuild my living room and hi-fi system, including a new subwoofer speaker, and 2, I'm not real close to my favorite record store anymore- once upon a time, I'd blow an entire afternoon there listening to all kinds of stuff.
Gotta change these things- maybe Rush will tour somewhere close by.
In his youth, he was a singer. Sinatra literally found him on the street and offered to put him in a movie as a mob thug. So after a career as a mob thug, he's singing again.
Got to see these guys' last hour (ish) at the Shed here in Maryville TN- I'd heard about them, mainly that the lead singer/guitarist was the lead for the Steeldrivers, a whoopass bluegrass outfit- however, THIS band is serious blues/rock, emphasis on the rock... I bought the CD.
This vid is from one of my favorite and most legendary clubs in Nashvegas- one of the pictures of Sting on the Police album "Zenyatta Mondatta" has him wearing an Exit/In shirt- I'dve LOVED to seen this show!
