This makes me recall the latest youtube post of "Downfall" caption hacks. "We might as well try and get BMW's now. At least with a Beemer the Harley riders won't beat me up. I will have that going for me." Not with THAT one! http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/406 2/686525.html?1341869164 The first one of these I saw was "who stole Hitler's car?" Then the Movie Company sued youtube and they were yanked. I doubt this one will last all that long. so check it out... Seriously, that former BMW doesn't make me vomit, but it fails to excite me at all, either. I've seen enough Hayabusas Urbanized into flash machines to please their riders that I don't even get remotely upset that the guy has ruined a decent bike. I do try and be polite and suppress the laughter, until later. I'm also the guy who parks his Cyclone between the Rice and Hogs at the local Burger drive in. I'll talk to either bunch, and like a nice GSXR as much as a VRSC. Wouldn't mind a test ride, wouldn't buy one, glad you are happy with it. Did have a guy freak out one time when I left the parking lot. I pulled a hard right turn and goosed it. ( traffic coming. ) He saw the bike lean over so far he thought I'd dropped it. Told me so a week later. I told him, "it's a Buell, they turn corners." His buddies started ragging on him. The subject of chicken strips came up. He'd apparently never seen a bike leaned over that far and not crash. kinda sad. |

That could be fun at the dragstrip with a slick and some 28/24 nitrous nozzles. |

Making a living selling those bikes, this makes me cringe. Just before the release of the S1000RR, there was a story of BMW sending one of their pre-production test bikes that had a track mis-hap to a custom shop in Sarasota(?) for a full treatment. I've seen in-progress photos but never one finished. From memory that looks like the same paint job that bike was getting, could be that bike. |
