IIRC, our bud Crusty mentioned this a couple of days ago on another thread... Already got our variety of hot links, sausages and such ready to go! Also gonna have homegrown peppers stuffed with cream cheese and chicken, grilled corn, grilled zucchini, and... FRIED OKRA!!!

Damn! I just got back from a two-week trip in Europe, and my first lunch was for an All American "burger" at Five Guys. I wish I'd known this yesterday, I would've had hot dogs at Nathan's instead! |

We got to compare the Nathan's, some basic hot Italian sausages (Hillshire Farms IIRC), and some fancy jalapeno and cheese beef sausages... I appreciated the simplicity of the Nathan's by far! Skipped the corn, did some julienned new potatoes with peppers and onions instead, yummy! One of my guests shared her bottle of Layer Cake pinot noir... very nice change up from my regular Natty Ice- as much as I appreciate the fancy stuff, I've ended up a cheep beer kinda guy. And, the OKRA turned out nice too!

Oh yeah- FWIW, this kid, Justin Warner, just won the 'Food Network Star" competition- I only saw one episode before the winner was announced, but I got to see him do this- hands down the coolest Caesar recipe I've ever seen, and I WILL TRY it: http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/grilled-chicken -caesar-salad-recipe/index.html
