This Monday, July 23, is National Hot Dog Day! http://www.chiff.com/home_life/holiday/national-ho t-dog-day.htm I've never heard of this holiday before; however, I now plan to get myself some Kayem Natural Casing Franks, a jar of Cain's Sweet Pickle Relish, and some French's Yellow Mustard. Served on Martin's Potato Bread Rolls, it's a meal worthy of the Gods. I just can't decide whether I should steam the dogs or grill them over charcoal. They're great either way! Or maybe I should ride over to Hot Dog Annie's in Leicester and get three with their secret recipe BBQ sauce. Those are great, as well, and I could take some beautiful roads to get there. Anyway; now that I know about this earth shattering holiday, my life is now complete! Isn't it amazing how the Internet brings us so much important knowledge? | ||

 Thanks for the heads-up! I'll be off Monday evening, so I'll be firing up the grill fo sho! I've become a big fan of Hebrew Nationals- they don't seem to be as overly salty as other brands- but I think I'll give some Nathan's a try this time. Also got some fancy sausages to cook too. Post up youn's favorite brands, FWIW... The GF has plans Saturday to work up a fresh batch of homemade, from our garden salsa- got some ears of corn, just picked some fresh Swiss Chard yesterday evening too... I love cooking... |
