A couple of other buddies and I pass around a shared HF lift. We have been quite happy with it, and it has gotten a lot of use over the last 3 years.

Ft I have one the chock IS CRAP but the table for buell size & weight bikes works well no issues so far, the 1125 is more difficult to tie down and work with

I found a coupon. Just didn't know where to look.

Is the front chock welded on or bolted on?

If it's bolted, shouldn't be hard to swap out. If welded, it'll be a little trickier to get off and swap out.

Wonder if a Baxley chock might fit.

Considering this with quick release so that it can be used off the table as well as on.

let me take some measurements to post up
Consider modding the table with some u-bolts for tie downs at different points

possibly have to make a solid quick mount for the front feet to the table

the table is a little wobbly when up and not on the "pin"

Sorry for the lack of updates. Nothing too exciting has gone on. Just trying to sell the welder mistake and get a new one up and running. I haven't bit the bullet on the right one as I can't stand having all the money tied up in two welders, one of which I can't even use. The good news is my brothers friend and final shop tenant is starting to move in and he will be bringing his small Miller machine over. So at least for small stuff it will be fine, which is what I need, so hopefully I can get back on the ball! The damn wheels, damn them all to hell. If only I had a pile of aluminum axle spacers I'd be ok but I don't. Whatever, they are close but not perfect (they will be) and I think they were meant for the F bike not the R or the X and I don't care what QTMI says, they aren't bolting up as is. After this wheel PITA and the fork guards having to be sent back I am going to petition Yamaha to rename the R and the X something other than WR, as aftermarket parts reps don't seem to realize how different the R and X are from the F.

I got a little sidetracked by the Buell as well. Third gear is broken and has been for about a year. I have been lollygagging on fixing it since I have the R1 for the backroads and the Zuma for in town. A few weekends ago a friend told me that I was slow and couldn't keep up with the group on the Buell back in the day. That is false, yes I get dropped on the highway going to the twistys when they do 165, but once we get on the twisties, the Buell has never been a liability and I had no problem keeping up with my friends on it. So I bought some transmission gears and started fixing her up. I need to get back to riding it anyway as the R1 is getting dangerous on the street. I only enjoy riding it when I am really pushing it and with as fast as the bike is it's too much for the street. So I need to get the Buell going again so I can prove my friend wrong and not be riding so hard all the time.

So I've just been listing all the extra parts and other moto crap I don't need on ebay. Hopefully I will be able to finish purchasing parts with the proceeds from stuff I already have and won't have to break into my piggy bank any more.

The Pingel fuel petcock came today and it is nice!

I'm going to Nashville this weekend for my first NFL game and I will be picking up a 4x5' welding table while I am there. So I hope to have some real progress again in the near future.

Have fun in Nashvegas! LOTS of great restaurants there, an awesome farmer's market- try and check out the local grub close to the stadium and lower Broadway- Jack's BBQ is awesome!

Also, before you go, check out the Nashville Scene- best source for local color and goings-on...

I'm sure John would float you a small loan @ a good rate if needed.

I still can't get over this project.

Wouldn't this engine be cool in a CBR 250 chassis...

The pipes came in from Wicked ATV today. They are made for RZ350s with up to a 421cc engine so the math behind the expansion chambers is done. This is just one of them but there are actually two. They were great to work with. They left the mounting brackets off for me. I'll be cutting off the head pipe and re-angling it, but overall they will save a lot of time.

And I replaced the chock on the stand. This will be a lot more stable. Like my stickers and art work? lol. Also note the plumb bob on the back of the WR. Finally got somewhere on spacing out the wheels. Man I'm slacking.

I haven't been totally wasting time though. I've been doing a little wheeler dealing on ebay and craigslist to build up my paypal account for the final parts push. A scratched up Triumph Speed Triple fly screen is on its way to get a fresh coat of Yamaha blue!

Carbs arrived. Keihin PWK 28s if you care. I also found a used kickstarter for cheap and put a rebuild kit on it. Feels great. It will be powdercoated later.

Got a little work done on the tank. I'm not going to drill out the petcock hole until I get the motor up in the frame and move it to where it has the most room. It will most likely need to go close to the front like you see in the pic.

I got a scratched up Triumph Speed Triple flyscreen off ebay. It will be painted blue to match everything else. The baja designs lights are supposed to be here early next week.

And I found this on the side of the road the other night! As you can see it still works. Score!

I've used silicone rescue tape to put it in a band around the spot where the button used to be. You can even bury a screw head or washer or something under there and get a raised button again. And retrofit it with an LED bulb.

I rode a Suzuki 500cc Gamma (2 stroke) over the weekend and it was a real trip.

You are going to love this thin when it's done.

Desperately hoping that bikes like this come back, with new technology...

Yeah, I just crossed one off my bucket list. If you'll go to this site you'll see the Pepsi bike, that's the one I rode.

The Yamaha on the left is what he (Rick) let my friend ride that day.

Rick Lance is one heck of a guy.

Just a quick update. I think I will be changing the flyscreen location so it sticks out a bit farther forward and lower. I think the lights will be a little lower when done but I thought it looked too cool not to update.

Squids, did you see the Husqvarna with direct injection in cycle world an issue ago?
