Pregnant with our first child and my wifes water broke last night around 2 months early! She was admitted to help prevent infection and will have to stay until the baby is ready or they decide to induce in a few weeks. We are at what most people consider the best hospital around and i'm trying to stay strong for her... but could use any possitive thoughts, prayers (not my thing by i certainly appreciate it), or good experiences my fellow Buellers have had with this situation! | ||

Have had three early. Twins about 2months son 9wks all are well due to prompt care. Keep calm as you can keep her calm as she can. Let the drs work and don't be afraid to ask questions. Don't forget to rest! | ||

My neighbor used to work in a neonatal ICU at our local "big" hospital - it's truly amazing the technology they have at their disposal if needed. Hope all turns out well for you guys | ||

thanks for the positive posts everybody... i'm trying very hard to keep us both relaxed and ensure her that everything will work out it just won't be the way we planned it! we know we are in a great place and everybody has been very nice which will make a long hospital stay a little better! I'm gonna have to get a move on and get the nursery set up! p.s. she thinks it's funny that i confide in my Badweb folks... i think it just goes to show what a great group Buellers are! thanks for the supportive words, and i can't wait to show off my happy healthy baby! | ||

Prayers with you, but I'm confident it will all be fine. +1 Back in the day this happened to the wife of a guy I shared an office with. Eventually she got the squats of waiting for the baby & insisted he take to the amusement park to go on all the rides. Didn't work, the baby came on its own sweet time & all was well. | ||

Our twins were almost 7weeks early, that was 8 years ago. They are both doing great. Things will be fine. I will have my twins say some prayers for you and your family. | ||

I have had 2 friends now that have had their little ones early and both are very good today, one at almost 4 and the other just 6 weeks now. Thoughts and prayers are with ya both. | ||

Babies heart rate spiked pretty high earlier today which caused some concern so Corinne is back to the high risk unit for constant monitoring. Momma and baby both seem pretty health but some sings point to peanut showing up sooner than later... at this point it could be hours, days , or a week... we just don"t know! we have accepted that it will be sooner than planned and baby may need a little help for a bit, but they are very happy with the developement so that comforts us a bit. We have alot of love and support behind us and are confident that in the end we will have a happy healthy baby! | ||

Prayers be with you. I've had three now (well, the wife has, but I was there) and can remember how nervous I was the first time. Like someone said earlier the technology is awesome. A friend's wife had an extremely premature birth. The kid weighed just over a pound at birth. He had pictures of his wedding band around his ankle. Last time I saw him he was about nine years old playing on the playground. Stay calm, you'll be cleaning up spit-up and diapers before you know it. | ||

It's a girl!!! Reilley Collette Shanahan decided to join us this afternoon. she is beautiful and weighs 3.4 pounds and 16.9 inches. She and momma are both doing great... and although she will be spending some time here still everything looks good so far! I read my wife your possitive comments over the last few days and I really do think it helped! You guys rock... and i will get some pics up soon! Thanks, Chad | ||
