Ok, Froggy, it has twice as many wheels as we'd like, but it's still cool... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R0CBJQw5rvw |

Really sharp car - seems to have a lot of electrically powered gizmos for an electric car, lol. 300 mile range, wow. I'm curious how much the $50k entrance fee would be if they weren't trying to build these things in the most expensive area of the country for both labor and real estate... |

As far as I'm aware, the car is built by Lotus in the UK & only has the driveline installed in the US. Models for this side of the pond have drivelines shipped over & installed in Hethel. I had a Tesla pass me on the Autoroute in Switzerland last year, he cruised gently up the side of the rig behind another car, & when that one pulled in front of me he floored it. I didn't know at that point that it was in fact a Tesla, so i'd buzzed down the window to hear better, severe disappointment when all it did was go fssst, & disappear into the distance. |

As far as I know Nik, they have NOT fixed that problem. For those of you not familiar, if the battery in a tesla reaches zero it is completely and totally destroyed. You cannot even push the car, the wheels will not roll. I believe the price for a new battery was in the $30,000 range, but I could be mistaken. |
