I found this humorous. Maybe you will too.

Americans who tweet that they will move to Canada because of Affordable Care Act. The premise is hilarious.

I agree with Racerx. I believe everyone should get something for nothing and it's my god given right to sit on my couch in my government supplied home watching my government supplied TV, making calls on my government supplied cellular phone, while eating my government supplied food.

It's Obama's money and he is giving it to me and I'm entitled to it. Screw you for trying to take it away from me.

(P.S. the above was sarcasm for those with broken sarcasm detectors.)

I agree, that was one of the lines I didn't like.

You must of misunderstood something with this bill, you won't get health care for nothing. After all, it is called the "Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act", not the Free Healthcare Act. It does a lot of protecting patients, and providing some regulation to make healthcare more affordable

The rest of the post about phones/food/etc, is for another thread : )

If I can't be denied for pre-existing conditions, can I then wait until I'm diagnosed with cancer before I buy insurance?

Offspring can stay on their parents plans through age 26? Sh!t, when I was 26 I was supporting a stay-at-home wife plus 2 kids and had just bought my second home. Now when your 26 and living in your parent's basement you're considered a victim. We have turned into a nation of pu$$ie$.

Oh well, to me every new rule just means a new way around it.

So here are your 'legal' opt outs
1) be a criminal
2) religious exclusion - just not Christian, or any flavor of it (Christian Science Practitioner is still in review by CMS)
3) be tribal
4) be union
5) be employed by a company that has insurance.... and elects to keep it rather than pay the offset tax penalty
6) be a crony pac that got an exemption
7) be 'illegal'.... you will not that this is the ONLY place in ANY legislation where the words ILLEGAL are used in reference to this group.... best way to register and DOCUMENT somebody ?.... hello health care - they are now 'registered - tallied - and accounted' and ELIGIBLE for the 'free' care en mass. (it has already happened in California)
8) Repeal, Revoke, Replace - Kill the Bill.... I don't have alot of faith in this one - Romney will continue large portions of the bill - and pay his cronies ,just as this guy pays his.
9) Resign 'citizenship' - hell - its corporate branding anyway.
10) a good dose of Civil Disobedience; every tax paying citizen that disagrees with this bill - change your withholding and refuse to feed the beast. come april - they go broke
and in true Spinal Tap nod
11) goes to the extreme and requires a more decisive munitions interdiction.

or 12- go back to grazing - nothing to see here.

No, that is the reason they are requiring you to have coverage or you will have to pay the tax. While I haven't heard what the tax will be, I got a feeling health insurance will be cheaper.

My wife and I our insurance was like this for our kids two years ago. This is nothing new for some peoples benefits. As far as people getting coverage if they have existing issues..... Good. I have a family member that can't or couldn't get insurance because of it and if they could it would be 3000 plus a month.

Some are upset by this ruling.

Let's go over a few of the facts.

This ruling was NOT if Obamacare was good. It was "is the mandate to buy stuff from a private company, or we send armed men to put you in prison, ( after refusing to pay ) Constitutional?"

The Court said, yes, if it's a tax. The President's lawyer insisted it was a tax. Congrass already does send armed men to put you in prison if you won't pay your taxes. Ipso-taxo.

The Supreme Court ALSO just affirmed, in writing, that the President is a liar. He said the mandate was not a tax, then sent his lawyer in to claim it was. You may assume that all other statements by a liar are lies. It's official. I wish I was being sarcastic. I'm not.

The power of Congress to tax you is mind blowing. The "Affordable Care Act" isn't going to be very affordable, and the Supremes have ruled that indeed, the Act takes half a Trillion$ from Medicare.

We now know that the "death Panels" that this admin denies exist, do. Under another name, of course. Paul Krugman, econo-guy, claims that "Obama's Death Panels are the only thing that can save the economy". Much as I dislike his schtick, he has a point. Only by denying you tax paid healthcare can the gov not go bust immediately. Makes sense. Cold, but sense.

The Death Panels, btw will NOT rule on your case. They will determine the parameters of the computer program that will sentence you to death.

There will be no appeal to a human, no human in sight to blame when ( not if ) the program determines your worth to society is less than the cost of your care. This will happen to everyone if they live long enough to be a burden on the Holy State. The Computer sure won't care if you want to live or have a fulfilling life. It's just a program.

So nice to know that there's no malice involved in your death sentence.

Obamacare will also destroy private health insurance, with exceptions for those who are in certain plans, mostly plans from unions that support Obama, but I'm sure that's as much a coincidence as Green companies that donate to Obama get your money and then...split. 3 years shows that donating to Obama gets you a better life. Corruption? you be the judge.

Destroying private health insurance is, in fact, one of the main purposes of Obamacare. Not the sole purpose, but a necessary one for the completion of the desired result, tax paid universal coverage, run by, for and of the Gov. The D's who pimped the plan have said so. Want the video?

Your taxes, assuming you work for a living, have insurance, and are not a protected class, are going to go up. Expect them to near double. One of the other findings of the Supremes is that your "company" health insurance will now be counted as income on your taxes.

All that said, there are some real good things in the Act. The ban of denying coverage for pre-existing conditions is a good thing, as is the ban on dumping people because they are sick. The disputed mandate was indeed the way to pay the insurance companies for the increased costs of those things.

I would much prefer an intermediate bill that has the good bits without all the bad bits, INSTEAD of what we got. Not holding breath.

Racerx, off topic a bit, do you think that gay marriage is in the finest traditions of conservative thought, because family and committed relationships are good for society? ( I do )

The trolling is semi- amusing. I wonder if your ideology can accept any scrutiny. Care to discuss? ( don't tell them, but I'm not a Conservative )

OK, this is where we are. Listen up.

I expect the hijacked Democratic Party and Progressives to promote policies that will hobble America. There is nothing that can be done to change their minds. They are lost souls and fundamentally do not understand what is required to be free men.

This is addressed to several Badweb members who say that they will sit out the upcoming election because somehow Romney doesn't merit their vote and it would be better for Obama to destroy America. YOU ARE WRONG AND YOU HAD BETTER WAKE UP. Outside of California, your vote is crucial. You will be held in contempt for all time if you fail to vote for Romney and allow Obama to continue to push Executive powers far, far beyond their Constitutional mandates. Wake up. I have more derision for you than the Liberal dogs that suck the tit of totalitarianism in return for some crumb from their masters. I understand the nature of a dog. I do NOT understand the nature of a Conservative who won't vote against King Hussein Obama.

The supreme irony is that Obamacare punishes the young for us olding farts. Just like the Social Security Ponzi scheme has doomed you, you are now doubly doomed because you have to pay for me. And you young Badweb spuds are too blindsided to see it. If you fail to wake up, there is nothing I can do for you. With our mutual eyes wide open, we can work together to fix this problem.

Virtually everyone agrees that healthcare needs reform. We have just gone down the path that precisely leads to a cliff with backpressure to push you over the precipice.

Think about this. There is NOTHING that the government can do efficiently. In your gut, you know I am right. We can fix this problem but our only slim chance now is to get Obama out of office.

Now lets go back to sleep children and dream about motorcycling. That is, until some future dweeb makes a political name for himself by decreeing that motorcycling is not good for society at large. That can't or won't happen you say? Wake up sleepyhead as the Beast that is unleashed will NOT be denied.

Yes it is. Your Lawyer said so.

That matches up with the Greenie desire for all of us to live in arcologies so we don't ruin nature, is all about banning your motorcycle.

Look no further than social security to see what a government "solution" to a problem looks like.

This is the same travesty.

The biggest reason I don't want to buy other peoples health insurance is that I don't want the kind of control over their lives I should demand if I am footing their bill. I'm not God, and don't want to be.

I rode all day, across Illinois, Iowa, and a good chunk of Nebraska to find out America is on the path of ruin!

Reindog, you are right about voting in November. This makes it equally clear that we need to gain every possible seat in Congress. America is certainly at a crossroads that we have never been to before.

There are some things in this law that appeal to me, selfishly so I may add. Still, I would happily give back the parts that I think will benefit me. We are seeing history in the making here, the undoing of the US. It's a sad day.

Americans want too many laws and regulation for a vibrant economy to sustain affordable healthcare. Its only logical their government move to socialize health care more. Better than nothing healthcare spread evenly.

How come a look down my throat with a scope(a non event,10 minute procedure) cost five times what it cost to have a tooth pulled(25 minute oral surgery)? Same building, different doctor.................so the overhead would have to be close to the same? Not that it matters as I have to pay the deductible on the throat, but the oral surgery is not covered by my health insurance............for what reason? It's a doctor with a knife.......sounds like a health insurance coverage thing to me.

Did Emperor Obama hide behind executive privilege in F&F to:

- Protect himself?

- Protect Holder?

- Protect himself from Holder? ("You ain't throwin' me under no damn bus, pal. I go and we both go!")

Or.......was he finally painted into the proverbial corner and claimed EP to protect Kagan? He certainly needed her vote today, didn't he?

In the meantime, here's what Obama had to say in 2007 about the Bush administration trying to "hide behind executive privilege every time there's something a little shaky taking place." Before he was elected president, he condemned the privilege. Now he's all about it. Go figure.

"I think the American people deserve to know what was going on there."

Indeed.
