I'm not much for track days, but a few hot laps on a 13-mile track would be fun. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=inc9cGasgsA&feature =youtu.be |

I like. Those professional riders amaze me. I'm sure I would be completely exhausted after one lap. |

Gunut - agree. I've been there, did six laps, two sessions of 3 laps, and it was mentally taxing. So many cars and bikes on the track, youre constantly watching mirrors and trying to figure out a track as complicated as the Ring is. But I absolutely LOVED IT! Awesome video! |

I've got a few friends that go fairly regularly, both car & bike nuts. They all say though that if you really want the full "Ring" experience, do a couple of laps with one of the locals. One of my mates let a local girlie take him round in his own Renault 21 Turbo, he said she took one steady lap to get the feel of the car then went flat out with it, he never new that his car could do what she put it through! Beat his own time, solo, in his own car, by a considerable margin apparently. I keep saying I'll go someday & it's not really that far from here, might take a bike on a trailer then I can run the Alfa too. |

I like. Those professional riders amaze me If I remember correctly this rider isn't a 'professional' but a Brit who moved out there so he could be closer to the 'Ring just to ride it more often! |

Who was the lady that used to do the laps in the minivan and beat everybody? |

Sabine took a Sprinter van, IIRC, and drove the ever-lovin' pi$$ out of that thing on an episode of the UK Top Gear...or maybe it was a Ford Transit? Either way, it was a spectacle to behold. |

Fun videos, all the same. And Meh!- She only missed by 8sec and change. Given the vehicle she drove (and the tires on it), her average speed of 75ish MPH didn't leave much on the table. All credit to Sabine. |

I wonder how she could do with a USA spec proper econoline with a small-block V8? More power but also probably more likely to go up on three wheels in the turns. |

Then you'd want Joey Chitwood behind the wheel. |
