Anyone have any experience with this? http://www.proline-sports.co.uk/acatalog/UK_Wind_j ammer_21.html Supposed to really cut down noise. Have to buy online from England so I can't go look at it anywhere. | ||

You can get practically the same thing from any Cycle Gear store for around $10. It helps with wind noise a little. One drawback though is it's real thin material and can tear easily when fitting it to the helmet if you try to rush it. The other thing is that only friction holds it in place so you have to be real careful when taking the helmet off. I suppose it could be double sticky-back taped in places to keep it from slipping. | ||

Dave- I bought one of the Windjammers a few years back. It works OK but it didn't cut down the noise nearly enough, so I still had to wear earplugs. I don't know how it compares to the Cycle Gear gizmo, but mine seems pretty rugged. I'm sure how well it works depends heavily on the shape of your head, neck, and helmet | ||

Get a neck gaiter or two from the $1.98 table at you local outdoor store. They work fair, pretty good in the warmth dept, not so much in the sound dept | ||

Even the old Concept is nice, but I kind of want to upgrade to the C3 and the BT comms option. My concept is starting to develop little squeaks and rattles. | ||

I had the whisper kit on my last Shoei, which is a similar system. To be honest i don't think it made a huge difference except that it stopped the rain trickling down the back of my neck. I've been considering a C3 as well & was about ready to pull the trigger on one when I tried a HJC R-PHA MAX. I found it much more comfortable than the C3 for my head, the C3 was rather tight on my forehead, and the HJC is much lighter too. | ||

I find that there are just a coupe of spots that cause a lot of noise. If I put my hand up right at the back of my jaw line, just were the strap goes, I get a huge reduction in wind noise. I might try making some Velcro backed foam pieces and see if I can't fix it. | ||

Well, I just use the little purple earplugs, made of soft rubber, from Wallyworld... Keep them in a little canister that fits in my pocket. Not only do they keep down the wind noise, they help allay my fears of a malicious bee or wasp, or another bug, hitting JUST RIGHT to make it inside my fullface, by my ears. At least they won't get down the hole in my head there... | ||

I bought one of those gizmo's from Cycle Gear last year, don't even know where it is at if that tells you anything. Like said friction holds it in place, after it coming off at , uhm, considerable speeds, I quit using it. |
