It was 99° F in rush hour traffic this afternoon. I took a 50 mile side trip to Rockport, just to get away from it (and to get a piece of the world's best Cheese Strudel). I kept waiting for the temp to hit 100, but it never did.
However, it's supposed to be as hot tomorrow, and maybe a little hotter; so there's still hope!
It might be hot, but there's no ice on the roads, or sand and salt all over the turns, and I don't have to put on six layers and plug in to stay warm, and my tires don't slide like bowling balls like they do when it's below freezing, and you don't have to shovel the driveway to take your bike out.
I love Summer!
Winter Sucks.

I am spending the summer in Arizona and it is freaking warm in this part of the country, but not one to shy away from the heat I have been out and about on the bike. Did Sedona last weekend but I missed a turn off and ended up going to Scottsdale on the way home, it was 116 at the gas station I stopped at for gas and water. Riding down 87 felt like a blast furnace at 3:30 in the afternoon. I did a trip to California memorial day weekend and that was a much more comfortable temp, and lane splitting is cool, and Mulholland was sweet to ride. I do miss the Florida afternooners though....it is dry out here...

Amen!!

And Bart, that photo was taken on my lunch break. Try to imagine how much fun it was to sit down on that BLACK saddle, too. Oh, and good eye... you're right, that ain't no Buell.

Got off work yesterday evening about 1030ish here in E. TN, was surprised how warm and humid it still was out- my ride home on the GL didn't even offer the cool air over the river, boohoo...

Glad I got my new thermostat installed in the house JUST in time- gotta get out and cut the grass this afternoon before I head back to work...

Riding in this kinda heat is like sitting in front of God's own hairdryer. Gotta get my boat back out on the water!

The advantage of riding my Buell over my LT is the dashboard doesn't remind me how hot is...

Bbbob, on the other hand, my LT doesn't roast my thighs in traffic.

Actually, my old 1125R DID have a temperature read out in the dash. Unfortunatly, since the sensor was right near the cylinder head, it often read considerably HIGHER than the actual air temperature.

We hit 100 degrees (actual) today at lunchtime. Temperature has since dropped thirty degrees and (as you can probably guess) the skies are pitch black, the thunder is BOOMING, and the rain is pounding down on the roof. Hope this breaks the heat spell for awhile...

Okay.... blah, blah, it's hot, yada, yada...

Here is the real drama, as I see it....Is that fringe I see in the mirror?! FRINGE? Get a grip man(without fringe)!
The heat is obviously effecting your good judgment....or has, dare I say....caused you to develop ovaries.
Oh, the shame...

That's not fringe. It's an analog airspeed indicator.

Maybe he likes fringe? Not that there's anything wrong with that.
