I know I've seen this somewhere, cannot find the thread though. Has anyone put 984 pistons into a 1203?

IIRC compression ratios shoot up to something like 13:1. This might be challenging with pump gas.

I have XB9 pistons in my 1203 tuber motor. It runs just shy of 12:1 compression and runs beautifully on 93 octane (even better on a tank of 100 octane).

I used the stock crank and XB heads. Even my cams are cut just the same as XB cams.

Cool! so you have the fancy beehive springs and narrow valvestems too?

How did you manage the Cams?

Custom grind to match the XB's, but with the correct bushing size to mount in the tuber bushings.

Heads are completely bone stock XB heads.
