Mox please do not disrespect our Canine Friends Obama has none of the Attributes of our 4 legged companions. If most people were as loyal friendly loving and forgiving as a dog the world would be a better place to live.

Jellyfish is a better choice to desribe obamas qualities or lack there of

If you doubt me check out Doogle on the dog thread ! The only reason I havent dog napped Doogle is he is on the other side of the planet!

I've friended Doogle on Face(palm)book. I've had good dogs, now stuck with a rescue dog vetted by my sister-in-law (which was my first clue as to what a nuisance she would be to own). I used to bite the ears of sled dogs in Alaska to train them and they loved me. When one's life depends on the quality of their dogs, it is important they do what they are told.

Little Barry does not give me hope, especially with all the loose change....

http://cnsnews.com/news/article/debt-159t-under-go p-house-more-15-months-first-97-congresses-combine d

I find it hard to blame the House R's for everything. Not one budget has passed the Senate. Not one job bill ( from the R's ) has passed Harry Reid. No budget for 3 years.

Happy to blame the House R's for a lot, though. Passing the Continuing Resolutions sold to the House with the promise that "we'll cut spending in 10 years as long as we can spend as much as we want to get re-elected, now. Or we'll hold our breaths till we turn blue. And blame it all on you."

AFAIK, no such deal in Congress has EVER actually resulted in the promised spending cuts. I think this pattern comes from the D's. I could be wrong, please correct me. It's a little like dealing with N. Korea. They make promises, they never keep them, and the suckers keep buying it...

So let's dump all the Republican Party hacks that are running this year. Replace them with Tea party or Libertarian, or even Ron Paul types, but get rid of the establishment, country club bozo's that keep buying the promises, and give the Presidential run to someone "whose time it is" like McCain, and Dole. Morons.

Of course, I want to replace the North Koreans...I mean the D's, as well. Dogs would be nice If we can't elect responsible adults.

3 years. No budget. More war dead. More debt than anyone in the history of the Planet.

what would happen if a dog won the nomination?.....
and I mean a real canine.
if corporations can be individuals, and foreigners can be president, why cant a dog be a Senator / Representative ?

(at least I would never EXPECT him to read anything that passed through the halls)

I like it. Vote Dobi or Rotte = f the Dems and Repubs.

Because it's hard to find a dog who is 30 years old, which is required for Senate membership.

Strict constitutional constructionists would argue that the constitution nowhere specifies that 1 dog year equals 7 human years.

From a Mystery Badwebber. I Snoped it but did not get any hits. Even if the quote is false, it is true. Time to wake up people and think. And think again....

Some people have the vocabulary to sum up things in a way you can understand them. This quote came from the Czech Republic . Someone over there has it figured out. We have a lot of work to do.
This quote was translated into English from an article appearing in the Czech Republic as published in the Prager Zeitung of 28 April 2010.

"The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting an inexperienced man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama Presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their President. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America . Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic can survive a Barack Obama. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their President."

some here are upset with me - meh.
I just happened to have shown you that the farm house that has been in your family name for over two hundred years - has roaches in the kitchen, rats in the barn, dry rot to the foundation timbers and termites to the siding. That the 'deed' to the farm that your great great grand father signed for it - is worthless; and it is owed in promised escrow to a Confederated entity of foreign intent.

So what do you do ?
Do you make the repairs ? Pay the money - and interest on the reconstruction ... on property you don't own ?
Do you burn it down and rebuild another of similar model and stature ?
do you walk away and let it lay fallow ?
Do you try and sell it to some sucker that doesn't know its ails - maybe someone younger in the family even.

When you come to the answer let me know.....
Because NO MATTER what you choose - the response has been gamed, and the revenuers and financiers will profit from your misery or slavery - which ever you choose.

Who is the most dangerous man ? Not a terrorist. It is the one that owns nothing, owes nothing, and is not inclined to be goaded, persuaded, or forced to participate in either.

Who is John Galt ?

This landed in my in box today, It typifies BHO -les true attitude toward us ( all citizens )and is despicable

Today as I usually do each Memorial Day and Veterans Day, I joined my fellow Soldiers I served with in Vietnam to lay a wreath for our fallen at the Vietnam Veterans Wall. We always gather at 0903 hours at the Three Soldier’s Monument. There we meet for a while and talk, see how everyone is doing, if anyone needs help, introduce any new guys from out of town who are visiting, new guys who are joining us for the first time, introduce any members of our family or friends who have come with us, always followed by a few remarks about fellow members of the Blackhorse Regiment who had passed since we had last gathered and then we welcome each other home. Today after walking across Memorial Bridge and rounding the Lincoln Memorial I saw our guys all gathering outside of a barricade around the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. When I joined them I found out to my total disbelief that we could not enter. No veterans allowed. The reason was that Obama was coming there to make a speech and the area was closed to everyone except special people with special passes until his speech was over 5 hours later. I was stunned. Thousands of Vietnam veterans gathering like us with wreaths in hand to recognize our fallen and turned away so that a politician could give a speech. Most of us had been there when Reagan spoke, Bush 41 and 43 had spoken, even Clinton, although most of us turned our backs on him in one of the largest, silent protests ever...seen by everyone...stinging in its impact...totally unreported by the media...but even then, we were not turned away. Today we were. I saw where in a poll where Obama is over 25 points behind Romney with Vets...if they all had seen what we experienced today and knew what had transpired, the spread would be much wider. I doubt if this will even be reported in the media. But, it should. This was not our day...it was their day...the boys who lost their lives. But it was their brothers day to come and touch their names on the Wall and remember them. It was also Decoration Day...the day we recognize those who gave all for all of us. It was not about our narcissist president and his attempt to appeal to the Vietnam Vets for votes. Shut out, we met next to a hot dog stand under a shade tree and held our semi-annual ritual for our fallen. Later that day, one of our men stayed behind and saw to it that the wreath was placed at that section of the Wall when we lost the most during the war. We won every battle in that war and were denied victory. We had to listen to an illiterate world say that we had lost our war. Our troops suffered more degradation, insult, hatred, and disgust from our countrymen than all other US troops from all wars combined. We came home to a country that didn’t want us...and to many countrymen who loathed us...but yet we persevered. Today...was just one more cut...but it was a cut that will not heal any time soon.

Our Veterans deserve better ......}

in the past two weeks there has been some very interesting rhetoric about Vietnam.

The 'myth' of the spit upon soldier
http://www.vvaw.org/veteran/article/?id=215

and the 'reopening' of Vietnam to trade status and security 'partner'
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB100014240527023039 18204577443961224587928.html
(of course there is an advanced deep water port at Cam Rahn Bay... we f*cking built it)

all in fears that China is a military force that needs to be reconned with so we must make allies of Vietnam and the Phillipines in the region for strategic forward deployed bases.....

Never mind the 257+ Chinese Controlled 'free trade' zones on Domestic American Soil. Or the ties and ownership that China has on GM - WalMart etc.

idiots.

Best comment I've seen yet on the Walker Recall vote.

You know

That, as it was, the voter turnout was 119%, and yet we won. Imagine the slaughter it would have been if ONLY THE TRUE VOTES were counted? One per valid voter? Try to imagine the truth.

There will be much spin on the meaning of this weeks Recall vote. I'm not sure this is the "turning point" in the conservative/progressive conflict, as some right wing pundits claim, in fact I'd bet against it. We have a century long struggle to impose total control over all, by a self appointed few. They have lots of minions and useful idiots.

I'm also thinking this might, just maybe be a trend. After the 2010 Tea Party victories, the press coverage ( deliberately ) downplayed and ignored the counterrevolutionary forces. This might be a sign that this swing of the pendulum is still toward freedom, and not servitude... I don't expect any trend to be forever, it's thought of as a pendulum for a reason.

So there is Hope the we can move Forward and get some Change in the leadership this year. But remember, You have to vote for freedom, and encourage others to do so. Or you will not get it.

Dick Morris, former Clinton era operative and current author and pundit, claims the lame duck session coming up is planning to get the UN to do what they cannot.
The Law Of The Sea treaty, various eco-nut and anti-gun treaties, he claims all are set up to tax America and give that money to 3rd world dictators. ( which IS after all, the UN way ) Also, since Obama's minions have not yet managed to toss out the First couple of Amendments, they plan to bypass that with international treaty, so say Bye bye to free speech, ( like in Canada, where incorrect speech gets you a hate crimes trial ) and weapon owning. ( since all dictators hate an armed citizen, and love a cowed subject )

I don't always agree with Dick. I think He's trying to get a job working for Hilary, when she runs in 2016?

What's Changed After Wisconsin: The Obama Administration Suddenly Looks Like a House of Cards
By Peggy Noonan
Saturday, June 9, 2012

quote:

By the way, the single most interesting number in the whole race was 28,785. That is how many dues-paying members of the American Federation of State, County and Municiple Employees were left in Wisconsin after Mr. Walker allowed them to choose whether union dues would be taken from their paychecks each week. Before that, Afscme had 62,218 dues-paying members in Wisconsin. There is a degree to which public union involvement is, simply, coerced.

People wonder about the implications for the presidential election. They'll wonder for five months, and then they'll know.

President Obama's problem now isn't what Wisconsin did, it's how he looks each day -- careening around, always in flight, a superfluous figure. No one even looks to him for leadership now. He doesn't go to Wisconsin, where the fight is. He goes to Sarah Jessica Parker's place, where the money is.

There is, now, a house-of-cards feel about this administration.

It's not that suddenly it looks like a house of cards, it's just that suddenly the breeze is blowing the cards down.

Honestly, how can anyone take the man seriously when one day he makes the claim that the private sector is doing well, only to have to back track on that the next day. He really comes off sounding like he has no clue what is happening, much less what to do to make things better.

I really have no idea what to make of his remark. If he thinks the private sector is doing well, where exactly does BO think our economic problems lie?

GHWB caught a lot of flack when he was confronted by a supermarket laser scanner. After years of high office, CIA, VP, Prez, where his guards shuffled him from place to place, and for security and financial reasons he didn't get/have to go to the store, Bush the Elder had never seen such a thing.
Out of touch with common man rich guy stuff. Classic propaganda. ( made better by the fact the GHWB was an insulated fellow )

The Current guy almost certainly has been to a store with a laser scanner. He's adept at Blackberry communications, ( though we have no clue as to his I-pad skillz, like his college transcripts ) and well schooled in the art of envy and class warfare. He comes from a different time. The new is no mystery to him, he's very rich, ( and while calling on the OTHER rich to pay their "fair share" somehow fails to contribute a penny more than law requires to his nation's coffers ) and the vast media empires just love his well crafted image, and presumed ideology.

OTOH, I don't know If Barack could change his own oil in his Chrysler, or ever understand the desirability of limited government power......

He IS the 1%. And an American Success Story! With only Bank President Grandparents, expensive prep schools and a mystery Ivy league education, he has succeeded to the highest office any Public servant could aspire to without ever actually having to have what most people would call a "real job". ( somehow, teaching Social Studies to Jr. High students is real, while giving an occasional guest lecture which NO ONE seems to have been to at a college... is not. Go figure. )

....where exactly does BO think our economic problems lie?
Oh, that's easy! We are not under the kind of central control, with unlimited power, that China has. The President has to go through an annoying Congress to pass completely reasonable laws giving him the absolute authority to control all aspects of your life....and therefor save the economy. ( from evil capitalism )
Barack Obama just has never been given the budget that will let him do what "needs to be done". ( never mind that I believe that won't work no matter how much of our, and China's money he has. I don't think that any central committee can run a gas station as well as a good gas station manager, or run an airline as well as a good airline guy, etc..... No matter what the Central Planner guys believe. )
