Just wondering if there are any other pool players that hang around here?

Pool has been a hobby of mine and I've been playing in organized pool leagues off and on for the past 15 years or so. I used to be a lot better when I had time to practice but with kids and well..... life, I just don't have the time to be as good as I used to be. Right now I have a 5 handicap.

Yesterday my 9 ball team played in the States, 16 teams with only 1 winner to go and play in the Nationals Amateurs in Vegas mid-August. After a VERY long 16 hour day. Competing against and defeating 4 different teams from different local divisions, I am very proud to say that my team won the States. I am so pumped!!

One of the things I love the most about playing in the APA is that pool is just a relaxer for me now and here it is, my team and I playing in the Nationals. Not too bad for just going out and shooting a little pool once a week.

Pool & the Gang will be in Vegas competing in the 9 Ball National Amateur Championships August 16-20.

That's Cuell.

If you don't win you'll have to...

Chalk it up to experience.

I wouldn't go around telling people about putting balls in your pockets.

Sorry, that exhausts my stock of pool/snooker jokes.

I used to play Australian pool when I was much younger, but haven't played for a long time.

The smoke from my rollup used to help me by making me keep one eye shut.

I didn't often win as I was more a "bang it & hope" kind of player.

Yeah, I know that's not much help to you, but it's the best I can do at short notice.

When you are looking at the other player and you can tell he is figuring out his next 3-4 moves... right about when you think he has it all figured out... slam the balls around so he has to do it again, and smile as he looks in wonderment. It make work a few times.
