not much, we are the home to many processes... but their HQ is out of state (BOEING) or their workers are international (Amazon, Microsoft, Starbucks) we are the home to transactional processes mostly. The number of companies 'head quartered' here has been on decline since 96 (the year we instituted care programs similar to what ObamaCare is.... watch for it in your hood when this thing passes ) We make apples... but we ship most of those overseas..... We have many wheat fields.... that are paid to be fallow, And don't even get me started about the Salmon Fishing industry or dormant / dead timber industries outta Washington. | ||

California We used to make tires and steel, not any longer. We're home to Facebook which produces exactly nothing. Had a thriving lumber industry at one time. Borax Oil, just not off the coast of Santa Barbara Food - San Joaquin Valley feeds the entire nation and then some yet the libs want to starve that industry too. Cotton, until that went to China. Lots of stuff, actually, but less and less of it every day. | ||
