Today at 4:20 the City is dedicating an 8 foot bronze statue to Willie Nelson..
"In Austin, Texas, country music legend Willie Nelson, who's open about his marijuana use, was expected to help unveil an 8-foot statue of himself in downtown Austin at 4:20 p.m. local time."

That makes me happy. Nice to see that we all haven't lost our sense of humor.

I've been to Austin a couple of times, a very nice place it is too.

If you're ever in Austin & need a plumber, my oldest friend, Nick owns "Union Jack Plumbing".
He rides too, had a weeStrom last I recall.

As for smoking a bit of weed, I see no reason it should prevent you from being honoured for your achievements.
After all it doesn't prevent you becoming President does it Billy?

It's a cool old motel run by a bunch of young Austin types. Right on S Congress, which is one of the hip areas in town.

But, yeah, you're right--the sign does look kinda phallic!

We've stayed there. Pool, and a great coffee bar right next door for that morning shot of caffeine. Allens Boots is up the hill, haberdashers to the neo-boho Austin music scene as well as ranchers and truck drivers. The bat bridge is down the hill for a summer walk's destination.
