Breaded and fried means you're only covering up the taste and texture

Eggplant Parmesan is breaded and fried, then covered with cheese and sauce; and it doesn't lose any of its flavor or texture.
If you don't like okra, that's fine; but you don't have to create rationalizations for why you don't like it. You can just say something like , "I think it tastes like dung".
I haven't tried okra yet, so I'm neutral. That dish that Jaimec posted really looks good, though.

No - John, you are missing it. Your faith MUST be renewed in vegetables. Blasphemy is funny until somebody yanks your soul out!

Okra is wrong. Believe or not. Those of us of the TRUE VEGGIE FAITH; We know where unbelievers are going.

So this okra eater shows up at the pearly gates and Saint Pete welcomes him in and takes him on his orientation tour. As they pass a cloud with a tall fence, Saint Pete puts a finger to his lips and tells the okra eater to be very quiet. "that's where the anti okras are and they think they are the only ones here."

First time I had fried okra, it was really tasty. Last time I had it, it was too damned salty which ruined it for me.

..stuffed zucchini...mmmmmmmmmmmm my grandmother(god rest her soul) could make a mean bunch of it.Leave the skin on,slice it lengthwise, scoop out the seeds and leave the "meat" of it in,fill the "traugh" with stuffing, put on a cooking pan(aluminum foil or spray with cooking butter) ,poop into the oven(350 degrees) and when the stuffing is a golden brown and slightly got a crunch to it....voila......enjoy.My grandma couldn't make enough with me around.Loved all of my grandma's cooking.Lt

BTW, a reminder to all that in the southern Appalachias we've got a frost/freeze warning for the next 2 nights, maybe 3...

Squids: Mirliton.

Kinda like a cross between a bell pepper and a cucumber. In Louisiana, folks scoop 'em out and stuff 'em with dressing like the picture above (lifted from the web, but my mom does something real similar).

A little fried okra on the side and a couple of cold Turbo Dogs, that's good eating!

Gotta protect them baby plants!
All the baby plants are still where it's nice and warm.
I guess now you'll understand why I said you're a might bit early.
It's all ok though, if they get bit, it's not too late to start over.
Most people down this way always wait until after tax day to plant.
Back home they'd say wait 'til mid-April and you'll be just fine.

City vs Country

Hopefully it's the last of it!
The carrots like a little frost, makes 'em sweeter.
I might have got too much of a head start with the maters, but like you I've had the sheets at the ready.
Everything looking good.
I've already had one harvest of radishes.
