Not familiar with that town.

Nitro, WV on the other hand, is a cool place.

West Virginia is one of the most scenic states I've ever been to. And the road are awesome.

its WV... cost of living is LOW. You will be smack dab in the middle of some of the BEST riding in the country!
Plus you can make the Aug 10Th to 12 Camp-a-thon in Harrisville, WV... bikes.. jeeps.. campfire... beer... its all good

I had a girlfriend from west virginia,one night we were at the drive-in theater,and well things were getting pretty hot and she whispered in my ear kiss me were it smells funny,

They made Nitro We family in the area and property.

Actually, they never entered into Nitro production as the city was incorporated back in 1918, the end of WWI, and the plant that was to produce the ammo for the war effort never operated before the war end.

You are correct about the chemicals. At one point from the 1950's to the late 1970's, it was the chem capital of the world.

There are not any chem smells in Nitro these days!

my Uncle ran units for Carbide at Institute My Grandfather worked at FMC at the Chlorine plant Most of the Family worked in Chemical engineering

The mayor of Nitro and his daughter were in my raft white water rafting once. That was probably in the mid to late 80's. Isn't that where the big lotto winner lost some money in a strip club?

In the Area there are many small towns along the Kanawha river valley between Charleston and Kanawha city
Nitro Dunbar Spring Hill Rocklake Village
South Charleston Its grown up unless your from there you wouldnt know where they start and stop
