Glitch - I posted the same on Big Jim's Ride. Got a call from Carol on Tuesday when he was out and in recovery. Great news. So ya play the juice harp? You bringing it to Franklin?
Squids - ya gotta come to the ride in May. Lou will be jammin' big time.
You bringing it to Franklin? Yeah, I reckon I could. I'm not talented, nor even half the showman as Lou, but it'll be fun non the less.
And to everyone, namely Jerry and you Jim, that told me I ought to meet Lou, and that we'd get along real well. I'd like to thank y'all from the bottom of my heart! Lou is one of a kind, and even though we've not known each other very long, I know I've met a life long friend. There are few people that have meant as much to me as Lou and Carol do right off the bat. They mean the world to us, and we're proud to call them friends, even though they feel more like family.
Glitch, I met you the same day Lou did but with the advantage of knowing a little about you from years on BadWeB. Cool that y'alls hit it off. Lou and Carol are pretty easy to like. Some folks you can be around just a few minutes and feel like you've known them for years. Imagine the trouble we'd be in if we all lived in the same neighborhood?
Glitch, thanks for the thanks, but this is mostly JB2's fault.
Do you remember the BadWeB geetar? Even if ya don't (but it's better if ya do), here's a pic of Lou doing some noodling on it here at the RidgeDome several years ago:
Red, white, and mighty righteous.
Hmmmmm, looks like I need to get me a juice harp for Franklin - you 'n me could play us a mountain dew-ette!!
Imagine the trouble we'd be in if we all lived in the same neighborhood? I wonder how short a leash our Adult Supervisors would give us
Jerry, when you go looking for one, get a good one. The spring steel "twanger" needs to be good and stiff, and the "frame" needs to be pretty close to the "twanger". My Mom got one for my nephew to play with and I could hardly get a sound out of it. The one I play now is an antique, I've been told it's over a hundred years old, I know for a fact it's way older than I am. Watch it when you're learning, or you'll chip a tooth, just like I did when I was way younger.
