Meteorologists in our area are saying we're two weeks ahead now. Beautiful ride last night. Temps in the 60s. Slept with the window open. But we've had an extremely mild winter. Normally I wear heavy duty North Face for my daily walk to work during Jan & Feb. I didn't touch it at all this winter. |

Yep, I was frolicking around the Alps yesterday, too hot down in the valleys with the winter gear, but necessary for the cols. |

I can't decide whether to wear my one piece Survivor suit or my wife beater & cutoffs on my ride to Daytona this PM! Here in sunny Florida it's touching 80f in the daytime but dropping to the lower 60's overnight. Our local weather man says we are experiencing May-like conditions ATM. I WISH I was back in the UK (NOT) Chris C |

They're saying the same here Chris. Wish I was going to Daytona, but it's the old time/money equation, I usually have one or the other, very rare to have enough of both simultaneously. |

60's at night with mid 80's during the day. It is so nice to live in the South. |

Yeah, we seem to have skipped spring here in MD. Right to summer - mid 80s during the day, mid 60s at night. Windows open for sleeping, just gotta teach my border collie mix that bedtime means she can stop herding and watching the pack. And barking at everything that makes a sound. |

Waiting for the for the super-bike to be finished so i can scrub in the new tires i put on it last week. (Message edited by preybird1 on March 16, 2012) |

Spring here is also known as "tumbleweed migration season". "One day in late May, the wind will stop and it will be 110 degrees". We get only three seasons here (unless you look really close), Hot, cold, windy. |

Oh yeah, I've noticed- my "honey-do" list is piled up on my "wanna-do" list! Finish laminate floor install/tune-up and tweak my new '79 GL1000/plow and plant garden, other landscaping/another wood-sealing treatment for the shed/reorganize junk in shed/SOMEDAY get my newly acquired, 7 year neglected boat on the water... AAAGGHHH!!! Oh yeah- find time to smell the roses, and soon pick the cherries- dang tree is budding already! |

>>> I had a hangover at that overlook once... Is that the day I called you out of the blue and it was just when you happened to be stopped? Effin' eh it is spring! Been burning up the asphalt each evening. Still some chaff on less traveled roads and a few chuckholes. But, if you can dodge political threads you should be okay dodging chaff and chuckholes. I appreciate the debate on other threads and I know y'alls got good intentions trying to save our liberal brothers from their delusions but damn... it is spring! Maybe y'all forgot how to ride? http://vimeo.com/19061363 (Message edited by jb2 on March 16, 2012) |

Day time temps (in the shade) have been mid to high 80s. Overnight lows are still dipping in to the 40s...that is how we tell it is spring, it still cools off at night. Temp right now in the sun is pushing 120. fb- a couple of those pix were taken at the seven cataracts overlook, 1 on the spine above windy point, and 1 a couple miles above molino basin. That area is one of my primary playgrounds |

I'd hafta dig out a map, but that sounds (and looks) like one of the stops we made on the last day of the first AZ Springfast ride. Bartimus got us pretty likkered up the night before, and we all had to stop there the following morning for some additional detox. JB2, you called? I dunno, at that particular point in time I could barely remember the frikkin' shift pattern...

IRC the Bartimus ride ran through Showlow and Springerville, a couple hundred miles to the north east of me. Some beautiful area up there, and a nice escape when the temps start getting ridiculous in the valley. |

My skin is still sizzling from being at Daytona this weekend. I got a bit chilly at night with the breeze. Today was absolutely cloudless. It wasn't "hot", but the UV factor was off the hook. |

Yep, rode up to Hiawassee this morning. Mixed up a little 103 octane gas and loaded an appropriate fuel map to the PC3... smelled good in the garage while it warmed up. Butt dyno was off the chart, roads were nice and clean. Now, it's movie night with the wife. A great day. |

Azxb9r, If you take the same ride in the next couple of days it's going to be a bit chillier. Highs in the thirties or forties, lows in the teens with rain and snow. Pretty much the same as here (Prescott area). G |

Gregtonn- Actually, I would love it if we got a good snow on Mt Lemon...this winter was so mild I only got in two days of skiing this year. The road below windy point is usually clear even when there is heavy snow in ski valley so I can still play on the bike. |

Sunny and 80 here, looks good for the next 10 days or so. Not that we really had any kind of winter this year. We'll probably be paying for it this Summer though, with the bugs and all. Not missed any riding this year so far on account of weather. |
