Speaking of which, Atlas Shrugged, Pt 2 has been green lighted and will be released in October timed for the Presidential election. I thought Pt 1 was a pretty decent film even though it didn't do great box office. No longer science fiction, AS parallels America in 2012 where the attainment of critical mass of entitlement and victimization is demonstratively rising to destroy us. The end of this Weimarian Republic is sadly in sight because too many people are blind to Zero's game and fundamentally do not comprehend the utter simplicity and beauty of what America truly is. If we do not change our ways, Americans will literally murder to do the jobs that Americans currently refuse to do. Read your history, think, and then think some more. Making the Innerweb rounds-- Back in 1961 people of color were called 'Negroes'. So how can the Obama birth certificate state he is 'African-American' when the term wasn't even used at that time? The birth certificate that the White House released lists Obama's birth as August 4, 1961. It also lists Barack Hussein Obama as his father. No big deal, right? At the time of Obama's birth, it also shows that his father is age 25 years old and that Obama's father was born in "Kenya, East Africa". This wouldn't seem like anything of concern, except the fact that Kenya did not even exist until 1963, two whole years after Obama's birth and 27 years after his father's birth. How could Obama's father have been born in a country that did not yet exist? Up and until Kenya was formed in 1963, it was known as the "British East Africa Protectorate". On the birth certificate released by the White House, the listed place of birth is "Kapi'olani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital". This cannot be, because the hospital(s) in question in 1961 were called "KauiKeolani Children's Hospital" and "Kapi'olani Maternity Home", respectively. The name did not change to Kapi'olani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital until 1978, when these two hospitals merged. How can this particular name of the hospital be on a birth certificate dated 1961 if this name had not yet been applied to it until 1978? | ||

The first is stated as "average take home income", not "combined income" as with a household figure. Also take home is quite different from gross combined, if that is what it is. What source? | ||

I do think it fair to say there has been a compression between the Payers of the middle class and the Takers in the system. | ||

Politically, isn't the timing wrong for kick off? You'd think, ( or a serious cynic would ) that during or after the R convention would be best. Or, perhaps the Occupy riots scheduled for that are thought not to be effective enough? I agree this is ( or could well be ) the initial drums of a needless war, OR the just too late desperate reactions to a foreign policy event he has been in denial of, right up to the point of nuclear war? Current plans are to cut the military well past the point we could hold Iran. IMHO. You'd think Obama could, for once stop the endless cycle of D's getting us into nasty wars we are not allowed to win? At least with the last 2 wars R's were in charge for, we at least were allowed to topple a government or 2, even if we then had try to build "democracy in a bad 'hood". ( arguably a mistake best not repeated ) Don't get me wrong, I've long liked the idea of decapitating the Iranian Mullah theocracy and handing the place back over to the fine people of Iran. It's even possible that, having just lived and died through a theocracy, that the people there could avoid a takeover by the Muslim Brotherhood. Unlike the Obama supported uprisings in Egypt and Libya. I'm not real big on further nation building exercises in the mid east, until we see what wreckage is left behind in Iraq and elsewhere. ( still a little hope for Iraq, if Iran is made neutral, and not an aggressor ) But Iran isn't the same at all culturally as Afghanistan, They might, with the right help, make a go with a middling corrupt republic. ( What? you want better than Chicago? ) |
