Good to hear. I'm happy to see any alternative to the Big Four on the grid particularly another twin. |

now if only Ducati would get back in it, id love to see some the big twins get out there and tear it up....be great to see a podium with nothin but twins (as in a 1, 2 EBR finish , then 3, 4 Duc/KTM ) Jake |

i agree. would love to see ducati, Ktm, buell, etc. winning races. Of course, you know what would happen. the others would call foul and change the rules. unless honda brings back their rc 51 race bike...rex |

That is good news. Filmore is an excellent rider. He has skill and heart. If Geoff or Danny beat him, it won't be for lack of trying. He and Katoom are the kind of competition needed in the class. |

The RC51 and TL1000R were responses to the dominance of Ducati. Colin Edwards and Nicky Hayden both rode twins with the RC51. I'd love to see a new twins arms race with all the BIG Four creating entries. |

Yea, Nicky rode the wheels off of his RC 51. One year at Daytona, he had a mishap and had to work his way back up thru the crowd. What an effort he did on that bike. I am surprised that the Suzuki didn't do as well. Honda seems to do those things. find a category that someone else does and build something to beat them. then basically drop the effort. They built the ultimate BMW with the Gold Wing. They built a Guzzi with their twin. They built a flat track bike and beat harley. They built the RC 51 and beat Ducati They built a single GB 500 and FT 500 and beat the Gold Star people. They built a Honda 450 to beat the British bikes They built a Big Cruiser Vtwin to beat harley. They built motocrossers to beat the competitors. They have no problem in building something similar to a competitor that does well, and then go out and beat them at it. Now, they are looking at the competition for Electric bikes to own that racing category too. Interesting. |

The Japanese imitate better than just about anyone including the Chinese. Fantastic engineers generally and take pride in their work and the accomplishment. |

They built a single GB 500 and FT 500 and beat the Gold Star people. But Gold Stars are now worth a fortune and GB500/FT500 Hondas are worth nothing (if you can find one thathasn't fallen to pieces!). They built a Guzzi with their twin. If you meant the CX500/650 it was hardly a Guzzi, and again are worth zilch now compared to the Gussis of the same period. |

Have to agree with Trojan, cx's had nothing on the Guzzi. They were fragile as hell, having said that , it could have been down to maintenance, but sure saw lots with shot cranks. |
