The person primarily responsible for my moving to Gold Beach, Oregon . . .Paul Starkweather (aka Snail) was spotted today at C&M Equipment Co . . .also known as "The Saw Shop". In spite of having communicated with Paul/Snail for years through the BWB (he was one of the major regulars a few years ago), and in spite of his having referred me to the realtor that eventually found my property here . . .I had never met him until today. He sends his best to everyone . . .he has has been down some rough roads lately but is now looking forward to spending more time "in the wind" and less time logging. |

Don, old friend, good to see your name on here. I haven't seen Snail in years. I've been to his home several times, and spent the night there once with a bunch of Hooligans during the Four-Play ride many moons ago. It's quite a beautiful spread he has there on the top of Starkweather Mountain. Please give him my regards. Favor? Please drop me a quick PM and let me know how he's doing. Thanks, amigo. Happy trails, sir. Ferris |

Snail is one of the true quality guys around. Laurie and I were at FourPlay with Ferris and Al, and Joanne, and Vik, and Gordon, and FMJ, and so,so many others for one of the best days of our lives... so far. |

Yeah, I remember the mega load of salmon he brought to Laguna one year and the BBQ we had at WOZ's Bread Truck in the pit. Awesome feast and fun times! Tell him Sparky & Jen say Hi. |
