Mox- please allow me to say there are TONS of better choices for vino than Yellow Tail down under... had a bottle of Chardonnay that just wasn't palatable at ALL.

As to the looks of what's on the grill, I'd recommend a bottle of some kind of Rosemount, a red varietal pleeze! Maybe some high end Penfolds... and so on.

Happy day DD! Get out on a bike ride with Doogle and soak it in.

Okay, I'll clean the old oil can punch funnel in the bottom of my rustiest tool box and chug-a-lug a Fosters. Missouri wines are the very worst of US plonk, except for a dry red called Prodigal Son that I drink both as penance for my many sins and for it's lack of sulfites. And then there is this:

Yellow Tail Shiraz is good inexpensive wine! I like the Cab/Shiraz blend too.

Not tried them- fuggetaboutit with their Chardonnay.

Now, the Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc is super good- NZ does great things with that style...

If I could reach through that picture with my left hand...

First reach would be for the tongs to snag one of steaks off the grill. I'm envisioning it being medium rare - cut with your fork tender. In my mirage though the grill definitely has to be charcoal fired. None of that coal dust briquette stuff either.

Second reach would be to grab that Corona (no oil cans?). Ice crystals floating on the top, with a little bit of "sweat" rolling down the outside of the bottle to cool the sunburn my left arm is getting :-)

In case you can’t tell, it's cold and dreary where I'm at! May have to throw on the winter gear this evening and fire up the grill.

Happy Auzzy day though!

I use it too often to mess with charcoal - get a very satisfactory result from the open plate though.

They were prime sirloins and a bit of rump, some chicken breast chunks and sausages for the kids. I even got the onions right this time.

We also have a lime tree in the back yard that is bearing right now, so the Icy Coronas had fresh fruit too.

Twas a good day. even got in a nice swim.

Just about finished the case of Shiraz we picked up on a recent gig in WA too.
