Ken, there is nothing to figure out about my electric snowblower. It is an electric motor, a belt drive, and a connects to the blade. Reminds me of a large vacuum cleaner with one of those old fashioned push mower blades strapped to the front. It plugs in to your normal 110v outlet, I have a 100ft extension cord that gets me 90% of the way down the driveway. I am on my own for the rest, but for $150 it doesn't do a bad job and I never need to worry about dieing from inhaling the 2smoke fumes or having a spark plug shoot out like a missile. They do make more powerful battery based ones, but I didn't feel like dropping that kind of coin on something that would get used less often than my winker.
