I still want to do a Dinosaur Trifecta. Or is it a quadfecta or a quintfecta now? Let's see; Syracuse, Rochester (which I still haven't visited yet), Harlem, Troy, and isn't there supposed to be one opening in New Jersey?

Maybe this Summer. I'll be laid up for about three months after my surgery, and I don't know how long it's going to be until I can do moderately high mileage days again.

John! Does someone have to tell you that BBQ is not the best thing for a heart patient!

I guess we need to give my mother your phone number. She would be on your ass until the stress from her persistence killed you!

My Heart is in good shape, as are all the arteries. I need no bypasses. My Aortal Valve needs replacing, and that's from a decades long (probably all my life) condition. I asked my Cardiologist about my diet, and since the rest of my Circulatory system is in good shape, he said to continue doing as I have been; but losing some weight would be a good thing. I can eat BBQ and lose weight. Back in '97, I would eat at Redbones BBQ every Monday night, and I lost 48 pounds over a 10 month period.
I have decided that after my surgery, I'm going to shed the lard; but that doesn't mean that I have to not enjoy what I eat. It just means that I have to eat less of everything. I really like the pulled pork at the Dinosaur, and they make good beans; so I'll just have to plan my daily intake of food around the meal. Not a big problem.

There's the spirit!! Heck, there are enough BBQ joints in NYC/Long Island that I may never have to go north of Westchester or west of the Hudson to do this. But I like the idea of hitting all four NY Dinosaurs. I just hope they don't open so many that they dilute the brand, that's all.

I just don't want them opening too many places too quickly... that'll dilute the brand and could affect the quality, too...
